Position Overview
Our Respiratory team is dedicated to delivering breakthrough innovations that improve the lives of respiratory patients worldwide. In this role – Director U.S. Marketing, Scientific & Thought Leader Strategy, Respiratory BU – you will drive the scientific strategy for our newly acquired COPD asset, ensuring scientific understanding and advocacy while positioning yourself for future leadership. Based in Upper Gwynedd, PA, you will report to the AVP U.S. Marketing, Respiratory BU and lead a focused team to support commercial success through innovation, engagement, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Define the scientific priorities for the Brand, in collaboration with Global Marketing, including developing an engagement plan aligned with key evidence, insights and market needs.
- Serve as the internal thought leader by developing the scientific narrative, competitive positioning framework, and supporting evidence for strategic direction.
- Lead commercial activities with external stakeholders and societies, overseeing congress strategy, engagement planning, and operationalization.
- Guide the Customer Agile Team in setting strategic priorities and quarterly objectives to effectively respond to evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Competitive Intelligence, Outcomes Research, Global Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, and Legal/Compliance teams.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the COPD therapeutic category and its competitive and clinical landscape.
- Represent the commercial perspective on key strategic teams, including Value Team and labeling meetings.
- Partner with other Product Marketing Owners to enhance transparency, coordination, and prioritization across teams.
- Contribute as a member of the US Pharma marketing and cross-functional leadership team, fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BA/BS). MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Requirements: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience across marketing, sales, market access (or related areas) with at least 5 years of in-line leadership marketing experience; strong scientific/clinical acumen with the ability to translate data into marketing strategy; proven experience in effectively leading cross-functional, enterprise teams; demonstrated success in leading teams without authority; significant experience in strategy development in white space; a growth mindset with an agile approach; and excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills with executive presence.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous respiratory marketing experience.
- Understanding of US commercial and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with product launches, especially in white space therapeutic areas.
- Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira and Mural.

- Salary: $190,800.00 - $300,300.00

- Schedule: Hybrid work model with three days on-site (Monday–Thursday with Friday remote, unless business-critical tasks require on-site presence).
