MAGNUM STAFFING SERVICES

Head of E-Commerce / Director of E-Commerce

Compensation: ~$100,000 base salary (+/- depending on experience)

The Role

Head of E-Commerce / Director of E-Commerce to scale our marketplace business across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Newegg, and Back Market. This is a leadership role with real ownership—focused on scalability, efficiency, and growth (not just maintaining the current state).

You’ll lead and develop a team of ~10 while driving operational transformation, systems rollout, and marketplace performance.

Two Main Priorities

1) Inventory management software selection + rollout ( You will be selecting and implementing one)

  • Lead selection, implementation, and company-wide rollout of an inventory management system
  • Build the operating process around it (receiving → grading → stocking → listing → shipping)
  • Train the team and drive adoption (SOPs, accountability, reporting)

2) Leverage automation + AI to improve efficiency & performance

  • Implement automation/AI tools to improve:
  • listing speed/quality
  • pricing & repricing logic
  • order workflow and exception handling
  • inventory sync across channels
  • performance reporting and decision-making

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an e-commerce team (~10): hiring, training, workflows, KPIs, accountability
  • Drive platform expansion & optimization across Amazon/eBay/Walmart/Newegg/Back Market
  • Implement multi-channel listing + synchronization tools and best practices
  • Improve shipping methods (speed, cost, accuracy, carrier strategy, packaging standards)
  • Own inventory forecasting, turn-rate targets, and availability accuracy
  • Ensure marketplace compliance (policies, restrictions, performance metrics, returns)
  • Build scalable SOPs and reporting dashboards to support growth

Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re a fit if you have

  • Managed $2M–$10M+ annual e-commerce revenue (marketplaces preferred)
  • Led teams of 5–15 (operations + listing + customer/order workflows)
  • Implemented or overseen:
  • Inventory management systems
  • Multi-channel listing tools (ChannelAdvisor, Sellbrite, Linnworks, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • marketplace rules/compliance
  • inventory forecasting
  • automation & process optimization

Bonus points for

  • Electronics / refurbished / resale marketplace experience
  • Experience cleaning up messy catalogs/inventory data and standardizing processes

What Success Looks Like

  • Inventory system goes live with strong adoption, clean data, and measurable accuracy gains
  • Faster listing throughput, fewer order errors, better sync across marketplaces
  • Improved shipping cost per order + faster handling times
  • Sales growth driven by expansion + stronger operational execution (not just “more listings”)
