HALO is seeking an Associate Merchandiser, Implementations responsible for supporting and executing the merchandising workstream for newly awarded client programs. This role contributes to building client programs from the ground up by assisting in assortment execution, product setup, pricing validation, and launch coordination.

The Associate Merchandiser partners closely with the Merchandiser and Senior Merchandiser to translate sold-in strategy into organized, brand-aligned, and operationally accurate assortments. This role is critical to ensuring product data integrity, margin accuracy, and launch readiness.

This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be prepared to share visual examples of past assortments, launch strategies, or implementation work during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of merchandising strategy for newly awarded accounts.
  • Assist in building assortments by organizing SKU mix, pricing tiers, and product attributes based on established strategy.
  • Analyze historical sales reports and transition inventory data to support assortment recommendations.
  • Conduct research on brand standards, competitive positioning, and industry trends to support product direction.
  • Assist in reviewing costing and pricing structures to ensure margin targets are achieved.
  • Validate SKU setup, pricing accuracy, and product data integrity prior to launch.
  • Flag discrepancies or risks to Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser for review.
  • Support domestic and overseas product development initiatives including sample tracking, proof approvals, and vendor communication.
  • Organize art assets, decoration specifications, and product documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing e-commerce copy, imagery, specifications, and size charts for accuracy and brand compliance.
  • Partner with Implementation Program Management to track timelines and milestone deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Sourcing, Inventory, and Operations to support onboarding and fulfillment readiness.
  • Prepare presentation materials and product grids in collaboration with Merchandiser and Creative teams.
  • Contribute to documentation that supports smooth handoff to ongoing account merchandising teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organization and efficiency within implementation processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned product categories or workstreams under guidance.
  • Demonstrate initiative by stepping in to support execution needs to ensure successful and timely launch outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of merchandising, product development, or client-branded program experience.
  • Basic understanding of retail math and margin fundamentals.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Illustrator experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Jira or Smartsheet a plus.
  • Eager to learn product development, sourcing processes, and implementation best practices.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or launch meetings.
  • Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is between $45,000 and $55,000 annually. Please note that this pay range serves as a general guideline and reflects a broad spectrum of labor markets across the US. While it is uncommon for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range, compensation decisions are influenced by various factors. At HALO, these include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, location, education and training, key skills, internal equity, external market data, and broader market and business considerations.
