The Marketing & Technical Content Specialist is a key role with in the marketing team with content generation, social media posts, campaign support, graphic design, website updates, newsletter management, press releases, trade show logistics, and more. The right candidate will keep to a regular production schedule and support the marketing calendar.

They will report to the Marketing Director, working with the director to understand the marketing vision and company goals. They will execute their part in the marketing plan in support of company goals, keeping initiatives aligned with the wider sales and marketing organization.

The Marketing Specialist will learn the ControlByWeb brand and voice, while supporting and enhancing our technical expertise. This position is well-suited for a technically savvy individual who feels confident that they can learn and explain topics related to electrical engineering and industrial controls.

Familiar with

  • Web hosting platforms

  • Google Tag Manager

Experience Requirements

  • Prior experience or strong familiarity with industrial automation, embedded devices, or technical products
  • Comfortable communicating with engineers, integrators, and technical customers
  • Write and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, setup guides, and product resources
  • Create and schedule social media content across multiple platforms
  • Monitor and respond to social media engagement and customer inquiries
  • Produce newsletter content and assist with email marketing campaigns
  • Track and update marketing performance reports, helping monitor KPIs across channels
  • Design product labels, packaging assets, and other branded materials
  • Manage and coordinate marketing efforts with third-party sellers and distributors (Amazon, Digi-Key, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and support teams to ensure accurate and customer-friendly messaging
  • Participate in occasional sales/support calls to stay aligned with customer needs and product use cases
