Position Overview

Cape Fox is seeking a creative Digital Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This exempt position, contingent upon award, offers Salary: $60,000-75,000. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field and at least 3 years of digital marketing experience, while supporting strategic messaging efforts and ensuring alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) branding guidelines. Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the inventory and maintenance of studio audio visual/computer related equipment as directed by the Government representative.
  • Create, design, and edit all signage and promotional materials for USAFSAM.
  • Assist with ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into the database, and disposing of audio visual/computer related equipment.
  • Provide digital marketing consultation to USAFSAM members and programs.
  • Exhibit expertise in professional marketing and mass communications to support strategic messaging initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a team of communications professionals to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ensure all developed materials meet the requirements set forth in the AFRL/PA brand book and other applicable branding guidelines.
  • Participate in and support additional projects, such as writing continuity documents, attending symposiums, and collaborating with local colleges or multi-service partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: At least a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years in digital marketing, advertising, communications, or educational marketing.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers.
  • Experience with digital signage platforms, including understanding screen ratios, motion graphics, and optimal content duration.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign or Illustrator for layout awareness).
  • Knowledge of visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layout principles.
  • Ability to pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies (e.g., Tongue and Quill).
  • Certifications such as HubSpot Content Marketing Certification, Digital Marketing Institute (DMI), or Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP).
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
