What you will have an opportunity to do
The Director of Sales and Marketing is a strategic, results-driven leader responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and brand positioning for Windrose on Hudson. This role oversees all sales and marketing initiatives, develops high-performing teams, and ensures alignment with ownership and operations to maximize profitability and enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sales and marketing team, fostering accountability, innovation, and performance excellence.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for transient, group, and corporate segments, driving revenue and market share growth.
- Oversee marketing campaigns, digital initiatives, and public relations efforts to strengthen resort visibility and brand positioning.
- Manage key account relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with revenue management, operations, and ownership to align pricing, promotions, and guest experience strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and performance metrics to inform strategy and maximize ROI.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and sales reports, maintaining accuracy and accountability.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop sales and marketing talent, building a culture of high performance and retention.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive sales and marketing experience in hospitality, including leadership of multi-segment teams.
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals, optimizing sales strategies, and enhancing brand presence.
- Strong negotiation, forecasting, and budget management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with resort operations, group sales, and leisure/corporate markets preferred.
