Overview

We are seeking a curious, analytical and highly motivated Digital Marketing Coordinator to join the American Express Canada marketing team. This Toronto-based hybrid role will support the execution, optimization and reporting of paid digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, growth minded marketer with 2–3 years of hands-on digital campaign experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will bring strong project management skills, attention to detail and a passion for delivering best-in-class social media and digital campaigns, using data and creative insights to drive measurable business results.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality digital campaigns that support customer acquisition, engagement and demand generation objectives across Amex’s paid media ecosystem.

Please note this is a 24 month contract.

Responsibilities Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Support the end-to-end execution of paid digital campaigns across social, display, paid search and video platforms
  • Assist in trafficking, QA and launch of campaigns to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to go-live
  • Monitor campaign performance daily/weekly and provide optimization recommendations based on KPIs such as CTR, CPA, CVR and engagement metrics
  • Support budget pacing and delivery tracking to ensure campaigns meet performance targets
  • Develop and execute A/B tests across creative, audiences and placements to drive continuous improvement

Reporting & Insights

  • Turn performance reports into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Maintain campaign tracking documentation and support accurate tagging and measurement best practices (tracking parameters)
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity and emerging digital formats to inform campaign strategy

Creative & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to manage creative development and asset delivery
  • Assist in storyboarding and development of social-first advertising content in partnership with agencies and creators
  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines, product messaging and regulatory/compliance requirements
  • Support cross-functional approvals with brand, product, legal and compliance teams to ensure timelycampaign launches

Process & Project Management

  • Own and maintain the performance marketing campaign and testing calendar
  • Manage timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications across multiple concurrent campaigns
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and drive operational excellence within the team

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing or paid media execution
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, particularly within regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of digital KPIs and performance metrics (CTR, CPA, conversion rate, ROAS)
  • Experience supporting A/B testing and campaign optimization initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working cross-functionally
  • Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data and translating insights into action
  • Understanding of the Canadian digital and media landscape
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred and is an asset
  • Fluency in French (reading and editing) is an asset
