ur team is at an inflection point. Sitting within Demand Tech—the organization

that owns Amazon's Display, Video, and Audio advertising suite—we are the

experience framework team that powers the Amazon Ads Console used by millions of

advertisers globally. We are building an agentic experience framework that

fundamentally changes how advertisers interact with Amazon Ads—expanding our

engineering, product, design, and science capabilities to create the foundation

for intelligent agent experiences across the entire Ads product suite. We are

starting with a conversational chat experience and will evolve toward

increasingly advanced agentic solutions that reason, plan, and act on behalf of

advertisers. We have executive sponsorship, a growing team, and a greenfield

opportunity to define a new product category.

As a Principal Product Manager-Tech, you will own the product vision and

strategy for our agent experience framework—the intelligent layer that combines

large language models, first-party advertising signals, and deep domain

understanding to deliver personalized, conversational, and increasingly

autonomous advertising guidance to millions of advertisers on Amazon. You will

define the shared patterns, frameworks, and capabilities that other product

teams across Amazon Ads will use to build tailored agentic experiences for their

specific products—while also driving innovation within our own Demand Tech

product suite across Display, Video, and Audio.

A successful candidate will be deeply analytical and will work with product

leaders across Ads, engineering, design, and science to identify and prioritize

needs, able to effectively influence up and across the organization, and adept

at synthesizing AI capabilities into scalable, reusable patterns and intuitive

agent experiences that advertisers trust and product teams adopt. You think in

systems and frameworks—understanding how to build extensible, opinionated

foundations that enable other teams to move fast while maintaining a cohesive

advertiser experience.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy
  • Own and articulate the end-to-end product vision for the Amazon Ads agent

experience framework, defining how it evolves from an initial chat experience to

increasingly advanced agentic solutions that serve millions of advertisers

across the full advertising lifecycle—from strategy and planning through

campaign creation, optimization, and performance analysis.

  • Experience Layer Architecture Ownership
  • Define the end-to-end experience layer architecture for the agent framework,

including

  • Conversational interface patterns and multi-turn dialogue management
  • Agentic communication patterns (how agents surface reasoning, request

permissions, explain trade-offs to advertisers)

  • Feedback collection mechanisms and voice-of-customer (VoC) integration across

the advertiser journey

  • Experience consistency patterns that other Ads product teams adopt when

building agent touchpoints

  • Integration contracts between the experience layer and underlying services

across the agent stack

  • Framework Ownership & Product Cohesion
  • Own the agent experience framework—defining the shared patterns, foundational

services, and capabilities that enable consistent, high-quality agentic

experiences across Amazon Ads.

  • Partner with other PMs and teams building agent skills to ensure a cohesive

and compelling product experience, balancing framework extensibility with

opinionated design that maintains advertiser trust and experience quality.

  • Establish governance and best practices for how teams adopt the framework,

build skills, and maintain consistency across diverse use cases.

  • Cross-Stack Collaboration & Integration
  • Lead collaboration with teams across the full agent stack—including agentic

skill builders, orchestration services, reasoning capabilities, and foundational

infrastructure

  • Define integration contracts and interface patterns between the experience

layer and underlying services

  • Translate advertiser experience requirements into capabilities needed from

partner teams

  • Represent experience layer needs in architecture discussions and drive

alignment across the stack

  • Ensure the experience framework can leverage evolving capabilities as the

stack matures

  • Cross-Ads Partnership
  • Partner closely with product leaders across Ads to understand their product

domains, influence their roadmaps, and ensure the experience framework delivers

extensible capabilities that serve diverse product needs while maintaining a

unified advertiser experience.

  • Engineering & Design Collaboration
  • Work directly with your engineering and design teams to build the experience

layer, while leading technical discussions with partner teams across the agent

stack. Participate in architecture reviews, define integration contracts, and

ensure the experience framework can evolve as underlying capabilities mature

across orchestration, reasoning, skill execution, and foundational services.

  • Science Partnership
  • Collaborate with science teams to translate advertiser experience needs into

model capabilities and evaluation criteria, define science investment priorities

based on experience layer requirements, evaluate emerging LLM capabilities for

experience applicability, and design evaluation frameworks for agent experience

quality (task completion, trust, advertiser satisfaction).

  • Voice of Customer & Feedback Systems
  • Own the end-to-end feedback collection strategy and VoC exercise execution

across the organization, ensuring advertiser insights systematically inform both

experience layer decisions and requirements for underlying capabilities across

the agent stack.

  • Product Innovation
  • Drive innovation within the Demand Tech product suite, identifying

opportunities to build differentiated agentic capabilities for Display, Video,

and Audio advertising that showcase the framework's power and deliver direct

advertiser value.

  • Integration Strategy
  • Define the integration strategy that connects the agent experience framework

to Amazon Ads' underlying advertising productd working across partner teams to

establish integration patterns, negotiate API commitments, and drive adoption.

  • Trust & Autonomous Action Framework
  • Design and implement the trust framework for the experience layer of

autonomous advertising agents

  • Communication patterns for how agents surface reasoning and trade-offs to

advertisers

  • Permission and approval workflows for autonomous actions
  • Explainability patterns that build advertiser confidence and trust
  • Progressive disclosure strategies as agents evolve from assistance to autonomy
  • Experience-layer safety mechanisms (user controls, reversibility,

transparency)

  • Evaluation frameworks for experience quality (task completion rates,

advertiser satisfaction, trust metrics)

  • Thought Leadership
  • Act as a thought leader across the global Ads organization, developing

proposals for think-big ideas that redefine the advertiser experience through AI

agents, evangelizing the experience framework to partner product teams, and

influencing the broader Ads product strategy.

  • Business Impact
  • Move the needle on business results through product innovation, rapid

experimentation, and relentless focus on measuring both agent experience quality

(task completion, trust, retention) and downstream advertising performance.

  • Executive Communication
  • Communicate the vision, strategy, roadmap, and progress through crisp written

documents (PR/FAQs, narratives, OP1/OP2 plans) and present to senior leadership

(VP/SVP level) with clarity and conviction.

  • Cross-Stack Technical Contribution
  • Contribute to technical roadmap and architecture decisions across the full

agent stack through deep appreciation of trade-offs, constraints, and

opportunities—particularly around experience layer performance, integration

patterns, and how experience requirements translate to capabilities across

orchestration, reasoning, and skill execution services.

  • Best Practices & Excellence
  • Establish best practices for AI-native product development and framework

adoption that cut across product, design, engineering, and science teams to

deliver great agentic products on a consistent and fast cadence.

  • Leadership & Mentorship
  • Act as a role model for the product management community and overall team by

exemplifying excellence in your role, raising the bar on product thinking,

mentoring PMs, and embodying the Amazon leadership principles.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and

strategy related to a product

  • Experience technical product management

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process

improvement

  • AdTech experience highly preferred
