The SEO & Web Performance Specialist will lead initiatives to enhance website discoverability, user engagement, and overall digital performance. This role combines technical SEO, analytics, and content strategy to optimize search visibility and AI-driven content performance across complex websites. The specialist will collaborate with marketing teams, content creators, and technical staff to guide keyword strategies, monitor AI search trends, and improve Core Web Vitals. You will analyze performance metrics to inform actionable improvements, ensuring content and web experiences meet institutional goals. This position requires both strategic insight and hands-on execution, with direct impact on audience growth and engagement.

Accountabilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain SEO strategies aligned with institutional and digital marketing goals.
• Collaborate with content creators, faculty, and staff to optimize page structure, metadata, and keyword targeting.
• Conduct SEO audits, analyze site performance, and recommend improvements for visibility and engagement.
• Monitor AI-driven search visibility, GEO, and Core Web Vitals metrics, providing recurring performance reports.
• Partner with web development teams to implement technical SEO best practices, improve site speed, and ensure structured data compliance.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track SEO, content, and AI performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Support cross-functional teams, including paid media, marketing, and admissions, to align SEO and UX strategies.
• Stay current with SEO trends, search algorithm updates, and AI-driven optimization opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 6–10 years of professional experience in SEO, web analytics, or content strategy for complex websites.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge, including metadata, schema, structured data, and link architecture.
• Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for web performance.
• Familiarity with Core Web Vitals, accessibility standards, and site speed optimization.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with marketing, academic, and technical teams.
• Preferred: certifications in Google Analytics, SEO tools, or related digital marketing credentials.
• Salary range: $68,000 – $72,000 per year, full-time, exempt.
