About Big Red Jelly
Big Red Jelly is a branding, web design, and growth agency helping businesses Brand, Build, and Grow. Our Grow team partners with clients across a range of industries to drive real, measurable marketing results—and Account Managers are the engine that makes it all run. We’re a collaborative, fast-moving team that values leadership, clear communication, and genuine care for client success.
About the Role
As an Account Manager on the Grow team, you are the strategic lead for your client accounts. You own the relationship, set the direction, and make sure everything gets done—on time, on strategy, and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with a team of specialists (SEO, content, ads, web, and more) and serve as the connective tissue between what clients need and what the team delivers.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable presenting a growth strategy to a client, coordinating deliverables across four specialists, and problem-solving when things don’t go as planned. You’re organized, proactive, and motivated by helping clients win.
What You’ll DoClient Strategy & Leadership
- Own the strategy for each of your assigned client accounts—understanding their goals, industries, and growth opportunities.
- Lead client onboarding, strategy sessions, and regular check-in calls with confidence and clarity.
- Develop and present monthly or quarterly growth strategies, ensuring clients understand the “why” behind every initiative.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities that genuinely serve client goals.
Project Management & Specialist Coordination
- Translate client strategy into clear, prioritized deliverables for the specialist team (SEO, content, advertising, web, etc.).
- Manage project timelines, task assignments, and deadlines—keeping every moving part on track.
- Lead internal team meetings and touchpoints to ensure alignment and momentum across accounts.
- Review and quality-check specialist deliverables before they reach the client.
- Proactively resolve bottlenecks and communicate changes in scope or priority to all stakeholders.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor account performance across marketing channels and translate data into actionable insights.
- Prepare and deliver clear, client-friendly performance reports that tie results back to business goals.
- Hold specialists accountable to KPIs and coach toward continuous improvement.
- Stay current on industry trends and proactively bring new ideas and strategies to client accounts.
Internal Collaboration
- Partner with leadership to refine processes, improve client outcomes, and scale team operations.
- Contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented team culture.
- Provide feedback that helps specialists grow and produce their best work.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in account management, project management, or a client-facing marketing role.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing - you don’t need to be a specialist in everything, but you need to know enough to lead strategy and guide specialists effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Clear, confident communicator - both in writing and in client-facing conversations.
- Natural problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and finds a way forward.
- Experience working with or managing cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, or similar).
- A genuine interest in helping clients grow their businesses, not just checking boxes.
Bonus Points If You Have…
- Agency experience—you know what it’s like to juggle multiple clients at once.
- Hands-on experience with SEO, paid advertising, content marketing, or web strategy.
- Experience using CRM platforms (HighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- A track record of retaining and growing client accounts.
