POSITION SUMMARY

At Arras Events, we create elevated, design-forward event experiences in one of Vancouver’s most distinctive venues. The Sales & Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, shaping the brand presence, and delivering exceptional client experiences from first inquiry through event execution.

This role blends strategic sales leadership with creative marketing direction and hands-on event oversight. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, an eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality and design. They will lead the Events team in positioning Arras as one of Vancouver’s premier event destinations for weddings, corporate functions, and curated lifestyle experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Own and drive all sales initiatives, from lead generation through conversion, with a focus on maximizing revenue and booking value.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, forecasts, and targets in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Actively build and manage a strong pipeline across weddings, corporate events, social celebrations, conferences, and brand activations.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and enhance client experiences through curated add-ons and premium offerings.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Development

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies to elevate brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Oversee digital presence, including website content, social media, and campaign initiatives, ensuring alignment with Arras’ aesthetic and voice.
  • Maintain and evolve all sales and marketing assets, including event packages, menus, and visual content.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry innovation to continuously refine positioning.

Client Experience & Event Oversight

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, guiding them through the planning process with expertise and attention to detail.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Provide strategic input on event design, flow, and logistics to align with client vision and venue capabilities.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to inform continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Events and Marketing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and excellence.
  • Implement systems, processes, and tools to improve team efficiency, communication, and performance.
  • Support team development through coaching, training, and clear performance expectations.

Operations & Partnerships

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and cost control.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with preferred vendors, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms to support both quality and profitability.
  • Oversee logistical planning including catering coordination, AV requirements, transportation, and on-site execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in both sales and marketing, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and brand development.
  • Experience in events, hospitality, or venue-based businesses is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a food & beverage environment, particularly in events or banquet service, is an asset, with an understanding of service standards and event execution.

· Knowledge in Triple Seat software is an asset.

  • Familiarity with the Lower Mainland (Vancouver) events market and established industry connections is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, content strategy, and brand positioning.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A natural leader with experience coaching and developing team members.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills, with a polished and professional presence.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for design, guest experience, and trend awareness.
  • Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and standard business tools.

COMPENSATION

· Salary range: $50,000 – $75,000 annually plus commission, based on experience and role structure. Eligible for performance-based bonus tied to sales targets and event revenue upon discussion.
