The Manager of Digital Strategy & Engagement is primarily responsible for increasing digital sales and executing the digital marketing plan through the creation and execution of Wendy’s content and messaging across digital channels such as digital partnerships, wendys.com, media partnerships, CRM (push, app, and email), Kiosk and Delivery. This role is responsible for creating the overarching strategic direction, as well as managing a cross-functional agency team to execute on the strategy as directed by the Manager.
Specific areas of focus include but are not limited to: serve as decision maker for agency relationships and assignments to build out digital engagement agency team, manage digital partnerships across various corporate partners, manage a marketing budget of $6M+, identify and create connections across channels to drive Wendy’s holistic campaign approach. Direct the test & QA creative process for journeys and cross channel engagement campaigns, manage the digital partnership strategy across media counterparts, partner with the digital team to brief agency partners across national and local campaigns, partner with the data and analytics team on reporting and dashboard, direct a cross-agency team to deliver upon SEO/SEM YoY growth, and serve as a consultant for global digital engagement growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the digital product strategy and roadmap across various channels (App, Web, Kiosk, Delivery Integration, Loyalty, Offers Management, CRM, Analytics).
- Develop partnership relationships with DSPs to secure promotional opportunities and gain competitive learning.
- Manage content development and execution across CRM channels.
- Manage digital operating costs, Digital SOWs and cultivate strong vendor relationships through collaboration with Finance and Marketing teams.
- Partner with various teams including US team on executions/learning/reporting and dashboard, collaborate on campaign reporting and analysis to influence future strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- 5+ years digital marketing experience
- Experience working at or with a large consumer-facing brand
- Experience working inside a creative agency, or experience managing creative agency resources
- Experience managing projects or campaigns
- Experience with building and executing digital testing initiatives
Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Canadian Restaurant Support Center 5515 North Service Rd STE 201 Burlington ON L7L 6G4 Canada or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 3 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
