What is the opportunity?
Join the Digital Marketing team and lead the digital transformation of RBC's Credit Card products. This role focuses on modernizing our AEO/SEO presence, digital offer infrastructure, tools, and customer experiences to support the evolution of our Credit Cards portfolio. You'll partner with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to architect scalable digital solutions, implement cutting-edge technologies, and reimagine how customers interact with our credit card offerings. In this matrixed environment, you'll drive strategic change while maintaining operational excellence-ideal for someone with strong technical acumen, strategic vision, and a passion for digital innovation.
What will you do?
Digital Infrastructure & Architecture
- Design and oversee the modernization of the Credit Cards digital ecosystem, including website architecture, technology stack, and integration frameworks.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies (AI, personalization engines, data platforms) to enhance customer capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Develop roadmaps for digital capability expansion, balancing innovation with technical debt management.
Platform Optimization & Enhancement
- Transform the Credit Cards website into a best-in-class digital experience by implementing advanced tools, calculators, and self-service capabilities.
- Champion data-driven optimization initiatives using A/B testing, analytics, and user research to continuously improve performance and conversion.
- Establish governance frameworks for content, accessibility, privacy, and user experience standards.
Technology Integration & Enablement
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate marketing technology, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), and content management systems (CMS) for seamless customer journeys.
- Collaborate with IT and Product teams to ensure scalability, security, and compliance across digital channels.
- Build internal capabilities and documentation to support ongoing digital maturity.
Insights & Strategy
- Translate complex analytics and user data into actionable strategic recommendations for stakeholders and executives.
- Identify opportunities for revenue acceleration and cost optimization through digital innovation.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business/Marketing/Technology.
- 5+ years of digital marketing or digital product experience with a focus on transformation initiatives.
- 3+ years leading digital platforms or websites through modernization efforts.
- Strong project and vendor management skills.
- Excellent collaboration, presentation, and communication abilities.
- Experience with website analytics (Google Analytics), optimization platforms (Optimizely, VWO), and A/B testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of digital architecture, including CMS, CDP, and marketing technology ecosystems.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript and hands-on experience with dev/staging/prod environments.
Nice-to-have
- Financial services industry experience.
- Background in ecommerce, digital product ownership, or enterprise technology implementation.
- Experience with Generative AI and automation tools for content and design.
- Agency experience scaling digital solutions.
- Familiarity with API integrations and marketing automation platforms.
Work Arrangement
- 4-day in-office presence per week to support cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.
