Senior Director, Marketing and Sales
Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Wednesdays and Thursdays in office)
Our client is a leading organisation in the insurance and financial planning space, partnering with professionals across Ontario and Atlantic Canada. They are currently hiring a Senior Director, Marketing and Sales to lead a large, high-performing advisory team and guide the growth of their insurance and retirement planning portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic sales leader who also understands how effective marketing, positioning, and member engagement fuel long-term success.
What You’ll Lead
You’ll oversee the strategic planning and execution of sales, advisory, and key marketing-aligned initiatives designed to increase engagement, strengthen member relationships, and drive insurance sales. You’ll manage two Directors and support a team of more than 18 advisors, ensuring strong compliance, consistent messaging, outstanding service, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll join sales conversations, coach teams, collaborate with service, product, and education teams, and help shape the broader narrative and experience surrounding the organisation’s offerings.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Active LLQP life insurance licence
- 10+ years of people leadership, specifically in sales team management
- Deep financial services background with advanced insurance and retirement planning knowledge
- Proven success coaching sales managers and advisors
- Strong sales, marketing, and business development mindset
- Comfortable with technology, CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred), and modern sales enablement tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, constructive feedback
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field
- Strong operational discipline and understanding of compliance requirements
- High accountability for KPIs and team performance
- Must be local to the GTA or able to commute for required in-office days
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: $130,000
- Bonus: 13%
- Comprehensive benefits package, including an employer-matched pension
- Four weeks vacation
- Four additional weeks per year to work remotely from anywhere in the world
- Hybrid work model with two mandatory in-office days (Wednesday and Thursday)
