Research Assistant – Marketing & ProposalsLocation: McLean, VA (Remote or Onsite)Robert Half is looking for a Research Assistant – Marketing & Proposals to support marketing and proposal teams within a government‑focused organization. This role plays a key part in researching market trends, monitoring competitors, and supporting the development of compliant, competitive government proposals.The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and has experience researching marketing trends along with familiarity with the government proposal process.What You’ll DoConduct research on marketing trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to support marketing strategies and proposal developmentAnalyze and summarize data from market reports, government databases, and industry publicationsSupport government proposal development by gathering required information, reviewing solicitations, and assisting with compliance and document preparationMonitor government procurement portals for new opportunities and updatesCollaborate with marketing and proposal team members to incorporate research insights into proposals and deliverablesMaintain organized records of research materials and proposal documentationWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred2+ years of experience researching marketing trends; government contracting experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with the government proposal process, including RFP/RFI analysis and compliance requirementsStrong analytical, organizational, and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and online research toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentEngagement DetailsContract opportunityRemote or onsite flexibility (McLean, VA)Collaborative team environment supporting marketing and proposal initiatives
