we are looking for an E-commerce & Customer Operations Specialist to help manage
our website, support our Shopify store, assist customers, and keep day-to-day online
operations running smoothly.
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented E-commerce & Customer Operations
Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce business. This
hands-on role includes website updates, Shopify administration, order processing,
customer service, affiliate administration, and routine troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, technically comfortable, and able to work
across both backend operations and customer-facing tasks. This person should be
comfortable handling customer inquiries by phone and email, following internal
resolution protocols, and helping maintain a smooth and professional online buying
experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the company website and Shopify store
- Upload and update products, pricing, descriptions, images, and collections
- Process and monitor online orders, returns, cancellations, and fulfillment issues
- Troubleshoot routine website and Shopify issues, including app conflicts, broken
links, content errors, and checkout-related issues
- Coordinate with external developers or service providers when more advanced
technical support is needed
- Ensure website content is accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards
- Monitor inventory-related website accuracy and assist with stock visibility online
- Answer customer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a
professional and timely manner
- Follow internal customer service and resolution protocols to address issues
consistently and effectively
- Assist customers with order, shipping, return, product, and website-related
questions
- Support affiliate administration, primarily through Shopify and related tools,
including affiliate setup, discount code management, basic tracking, and day-to
day coordination
- Assist with reporting on store activity, sales performance, order trends, affiliate
activity, and operational issues
- Help improve overall site functionality, user experience, and operational
efficiency
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in e-commerce, Shopify administration, website
operations, customer service, or a similar role
- Hands-on experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform
- Comfortable managing product listings, collections, order processing, and
backend store settings
- Comfortable handling customer inquiries by phone, email, or other support
channels in a professional manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
- Able to troubleshoot routine website and e-commerce issues independently
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
- Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets and general digital tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify apps, themes, and basic customization
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS or the ability to make minor website edits
- Experience with shipping, fulfillment, and inventory coordination
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Shopify reports, or basic e-commerce
reporting
- Experience supporting affiliate or referral programs
- Experience in consumer products, sporting goods, or direct-to-consumer
brands
