About the opportunity

Dayforce is seeking a strategic, marketing-first leader to serve as Marketing Digital Transformation Lead. This senior individual contributor will play a critical role in advancing a multi-year transformation initiative to modernize Marketing’s technology ecosystem, embed AI-enabled capabilities, and reimagine how Marketing operates at scale. This role will be a key driver of Dayforce’s growth acceleration, spearheading the capabilities required of increasingly agile, streamlined, and high-performance demand engine.

Reporting to the VP, Marketing Digital Transformation & Operations, this role serves as Marketing’s senior business representative across our evolving MarTech landscape. In close partnership with Marketing leaders and IT partners, this individual will ensure Marketing’s priorities, workflows, and future-state ambitions for our growth – including high-impact, responsible application of AI – are clearly defined, aligned, and translated into a pragmatic, value-driven roadmap.

This is not a technical product owner role. It is a business transformation leadership role requiring deep marketing expertise with a background in driving growth, strong MarTech fluency, enterprise influence, and a passion for building scalable operating models that accelerate data-driven demand generation.

What you'll get to do

Strategic Partnership & Program Leadership

  • Continuously refine, evolve, and manage the Marketing Digital Transformation (MDT) roadmap in partnership with Marketing leadership and IT.
  • Partner with IT to plan and drive execution of the MDT program.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned to measurable business outcomes and long-term scalability, with clear linkage to pipeline acceleration, conversion improvement, and demand generation performance.
  • Advocate for Marketing’s evolving needs – including AI-enabled innovation opportunities – in roadmap planning, investment prioritization, and sequencing decisions.

Marketing Engagement & Alignment

  • Engage across Marketing to develop a holistic view of objectives, capability gaps, and modernization opportunities.
  • Ensure cross-functional perspectives are incorporated into transformation priorities to avoid siloed solutions.
  • Surface opportunities where automation and AI can eliminate friction and elevate higher-value work.
  • Align transformation efforts to create tighter orchestration across brand, digital, field, lifecycle, and demand teams in support of a unified growth engine.
  • Facilitate leadership alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and roadmap sequencing.

Business Requirements & Capability Design

  • Lead business requirements gathering for new and evolving marketing technologies, including AI-enabled tools and capabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI use cases that enhance data utilization, campaign orchestration, content development, forecasting, and performance optimization.
  • Translate business needs into clear, future-oriented capability requirements in partnership with MarTech.
  • Ensure requirements reflect not just current needs, but future-state operating ambitions focused on scale, intelligence, and adaptability.
  • Design capabilities that improve lead flow, segmentation precision, personalization, campaign velocity, attribution clarity, and revenue visibility across the funnel.

Future-State Operating Model Evolution

  • Collaborate with functional leaders to assess current processes and identify opportunities to modernize workflows, improve automation, and embed AI-driven decision support.
  • Champion innovative, scalable ways of working enabled by connected systems.
  • Drive change conversations that elevate marketing maturity, operational velocity, and enterprise readiness to enable Marketing to operate with the speed, accountability, and insight required to accelerate demand.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives future-proof our technology investments against rapidly evolving AI capabilities.

Governance & Stewardship

  • Establish and lead a council of Marketing technology business owners to guide governance and prioritization.
  • Incorporate responsible AI principles into intake, evaluation, and investment decisions.
  • Create structured prioritization mechanisms balancing innovation, optimization, and sustainability.
  • Maintain strong feedback loops between Marketing stakeholders and IT.
  • Embed performance accountability into governance processes to ensure technology investments continuously improve demand generation effectiveness and measurable growth outcomes.

Skills and experience we value

  • 10+ years of progressive Marketing experience.
  • Deep expertise across core Marketing functions (demand generation, operations, brand, digital, field, content, lifecycle).
  • Demonstrated experience improving demand generation performance through process, technology, and operating model optimization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Experience partnering with IT on enterprise technology programs.
  • Participation in or leadership of marketing transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and applied understanding of AI’s role in marketing efficiency, insight, personalization, and scale.

What would make you really stand out

  • Strong familiarity with modern MarTech ecosystems (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, CDP, analytics, CMS, campaign management, personalization, workflow automation).
  • Exposure to AI-enabled marketing platforms or enterprise AI initiatives.
  • SaaS or B2B enterprise marketing experience.
