Role and Responsibilities of Business Operations ECommerce Manager:
You will lead the eCommerce Business Operations function, using data-driven insights and operational expertise to improve the online shopping experience. Your work will focus on monitoring site performance, advising stakeholders, and implementing strategies that optimize the end-to-end customer journey.
- Monitor site health and performance using analytics and key metrics, supporting internal business reviews and dashboards
- Partner with internal teams to improve processes, scale best practices, and provide strategic guidance on site execution
- Analyze complex and ambiguous business problems and develop actionable strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive growth
- Define and implement efficient workflows, reports, and performance metrics to embed operational excellence across the team
- Develop and mentor team members to enhance skills, knowledge, and overall performance
- Translate complex data into actionable insights to inform site priorities and decision-making
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives and continuous optimization
Required Skills and Experience of Business Operations ECommerce Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of experience in Management Consulting, Business Operations, eCommerce Merchandising, Site Operations, or related area
Preferred Qualifications
- Eight years of experience in Management Consulting, Business Operations, Product Management, Site Merchandising, Analytics, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in a consumer-focused eCommerce environment
- Master of Business Administration from a top business school
- Highly analytical and process-oriented with expertise in SQL, Tableau, or Looker
- Strong customer obsession and strategic mindset with ability to tackle complex, ambiguous problems
- Experience developing and executing technical product roadmaps and setting clear objectives and performance measures
- Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and take on responsibilities outside primary job scope
- Adaptable, assertive, and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Compensation and Benefits of Business Operations ECommerce Manager:
- Annual salary range: $90,000 - $180,000, based on a 40-hour week
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and for certain positions, stock awards
