E-Commerce Manager (Shopify) – Part-Time – Taste of Spain (UAE-based Food Importer) - Contract to Hire

Taste of Spain LLC is a UAE-based food import and distribution company focused on bringing authentic Spanish products to the Middle East. We serve both retail and foodservice customers, and are expanding our digital footprint through our Shopify-based e-commerce platform.

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify freelancer to take full ownership of the platform and help grow online sales through smarter UX, better product presentation, and proactive marketing.

Your Role Will Include

Audit and optimize our current Shopify site (UX, layout, mobile usability)

Reduce friction and improve the checkout experience

Manage 5–15 product listings per month (descriptions, images, categorization, SEO)

Recommend and implement useful Shopify apps (e.g., for subscriptions)

Create and execute Klaviyo email flows and campaigns for promotions and re-engagement

Design simple banners or product visuals using stock or provided assets

Suggest monthly campaign and email calendar ideas

Support development of a subscription model for key product lines

Requirements

2+ years experience managing Shopify stores

Strong understanding of e-commerce UX/UI principles

Proficient in Klaviyo email marketing (flows, automation, segmentation)

Capable of basic visual content creation using Canva or similar tools

Familiarity with SEO best practices for product pages and collections

Ability to work independently, proactively, and report results

Workload & Commitment

Part-time: ~2–3 hours/day

Flexible schedule, long-term engagement preferred

Language: English only

Stock images will be sourced by you if not provided by our team

Bonus Points

Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify reports, Klaviyo insights)

Ability to provide performance tracking reports and suggestions

Previous experience working with food/FMCG e-commerce

Incentive Structure

Monthly base rate based on hours

Bonus: 5% of gross sales for months where online sales exceed AED 30,000
