## **Summary of Job Duties:**

Summary of Job Duties: This is a 9-month non-tenure-track 100% appointment at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor within the School of Human Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally recognized teaching program focused on one or more of the following areas: data analytics, fashion buying and promotion, digital merchandising, and brand management. Major responsibilities include teaching undergraduate apparel merchandising courses, mentoring honors students, and academic advising. In addition to teaching excellence, the candidate will contribute to scholarly and service activities aligned with the university’s mission.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

## **Qualifications:**

  • *Minimum Qualifications:**
  • Earned doctorate in apparel merchandising or a closely related discipline at time of hire from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Broad training in one or more of the following areas: data analytics, innovative fashion buying, digital merchandising, brand management, and apparel-related technologies
  • Experience of teaching across multiple instructional formats
  • Experience in teaching and advising
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
