Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 annually with benefits and 4 weeks paid vacation

Work Location: Toronto

Work Environment: UNICEF Canada currently operates under a Fixed-Hybrid model that requires team members to attend the office at least 2 days/week (Tuesday & Wednesday)

The Opportunity

The Director, Marketing Technology & Experience leads the strategy, development, and optimization of UNICEF Canada’s donor and marketing technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for advancing personalization, automation, and digital engagement capabilities, enabling the activation of data and insights to drive donor growth and fundraising performance.

Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Innovation & Technology, the Director oversees the platforms and capabilities that power UNICEF Canada’s fundraising and supporter engagement, including CRM and marketing automation platforms, website infrastructure, and digital supporter journeys. This role owns the end-to-end CRM ecosystem, including Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Engaging Networks, ensuring these platforms are strategically aligned, integrated, and optimized to support donor lifecycle management and fundraising performance.

Working closely with Fundraising, Data & Insights, and Operations teams, this role translates fundraising strategy and data-driven recommendations into technology-enabled digital solutions and leads the team responsible for the delivery and quality of digital campaigns and online experiences.

Key Accountabilities

CRM and Marketing Technology Strategy (30%)

  • This role owns the end-to-end CRM ecosystem, including Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Engaging Networks, ensuring these platforms are strategically aligned, integrated, and optimized to support donor lifecycle management and fundraising performance.
  • Define and lead a multi-year transformation roadmap for marketing technology and personalization capabilities, ensuring technology decisions align with fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
  • Define the target-state architecture and operating model across CRM and marketing platforms, ensuring seamless integration between Salesforce NPC, Marketing Cloud, Engaging Networks, and legacy systems during transition
  • Drive alignment between CRM, marketing automation, and digital platforms to enable consistent segmentation, personalization, and campaign execution
  • Provide strategic leadership on personalization, automation, and experimentation to inform fundraising strategy and supporter engagement.
  • Lead adoption and change management of marketing technology platforms across fundraising and operational teams, enabling partners to leverage tools for improved supporter engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and digital engagement trends, identifying opportunities to elevate fundraising performance and supporter experience.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven experimentation and optimization across digital fundraising and supporter engagement programs.

Donor Journey & Campaign Enablement (25%)

  • Partner with Fundraising stakeholders to design and launch digital campaigns through scalable personalized email programs, automated journeys, and tech-enabled engagement solutions.
  • Ensure CRM and marketing platforms enable end-to-end donor journeys, leveraging integrated data, segmentation, and automation across Salesforce NPC, Marketing Cloud, and digital engagement platforms
