Digital Marketing, RPM Internship

Internship opportunity supporting digital marketing campaigns and content creation at ICAO, a UN specialized agency in Montreal.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing

• Assist with preparation and scheduling of email marketing campaigns under the Marketing Manager’s supervision.
• Help draft content for marketing emails and social media posts, learning message crafting and audience targeting.
• Support organization and accuracy of data lists for marketing outreach.
• Learn to use email marketing tools and automation systems for campaign execution.
• Participate in meetings to understand digital marketing strategy planning and implementation.
• Help track campaign performance and prepare simple performance summaries.
• Support preparation and publishing of social media posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
• Assist in drafting social media copy, basic visual content, blog articles, and event highlights.
• Help monitor social media engagement and identify trends.
• Assist with organizing digital files, images, and marketing content, including tagging and updating content.
• Support updates to the event mobile app to enhance event marketing and attendee experience.
• Complete mandatory organizational training and participate in team meetings.
• Perform other support duties as assigned to contribute to the marketing team’s success.

About You

The company is looking for

• Applicants who have completed or are enrolled in a university degree or higher in marketing, business, communications, public or business administration, political science, or journalism.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking abilities in English.
• Knowledge of digital communications and publishing platforms is desirable.
• Layout and design experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of any other ICAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is desirable.
• Professionalism, effective communication, teamwork, client orientation, and creativity competencies.

Compensation & Benefits

• This is an unpaid internship.
• All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by the intern.
• Hybrid work arrangement requiring at least three days per week in the Montreal office.
• Full-time, five days a week (9 AM - 5 PM) for a preferred duration of six months.

Training & Development

• Opportunities to learn about international aviation, digital marketing, and communications in a United Nations environment.
• Completion of mandatory organizational training during the internship period.
• Participation in team meetings to learn about project coordination and teamwork in an international setting.
