Job Description

eCommerce Business Manager

The eCommerce Business Manager (EBM) is responsible for overseeing a specific line of business, driving e-commerce strategy and overseeing execution to meet or exceed defined financial and performance goals. Typically, the EBM manages the activities of a team of ecommerce personnel supporting a multifaceted partner. The EBM will develop and adjust both the merchandise calendar and promotional calendar for their respective business. The EBM will also coordinate with the Business Analytics team to finalize a monthly forecast. The manager tracks and analyzes site performance, forecasts trends and evaluates opportunities for growth. The manager works closely with the digital marketing team to help optimize existing and emerging channels. The EBM will work with the partner on strategic planning initiatives, marketing program development, results analysis, and campaign execution. The manager will also work with other departments as necessary to help facilitate the communication and understanding of business needs, acting as a liaison for cross-functional projects. The EBM will regularly present business results and business conditions in interdepartmental meetings

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the assigned business management team in daily site operations and marketing efforts
  • Develop and maintain key relationships and generate revenues from these relationships across multiple levels at partner organizations
  • Monitor and analyze KPI's to help forecast trends and meet financial and goals
  • Coordinate with marketing and CRM teams to optimize and strategies across channels
  • Coordinate with other departmental leaders to analyze growth opportunities and lead data driven business recommendations
  • Collaborate with peers to share and adopt best practice ecommerce procedures
  • Periodically serve as lead or business management liaison on key business initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required
  • 5+ years of related experience in e-commerce, business analytics, multi-channel retail, or digital marketing
  • Proven track record of success meeting revenue goals and managing partners
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis and interpretation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people and workflows
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional work ethic, ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines, and demonstrate enthusiasm towards partners
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with others inside and outside the organization
  • Keen attention to detail

Qualifications
