Digital Marketing Strategist Communications Manager (Cox Media)

As the Digital Marketing / Communications Manager at Cox Communications, you will play a pivotal role in achieving revenue goals by partnering with sales representatives and engaging directly with clients. You will leverage the full breadth and scale of Cox Media assets—spanning digital media, linear solutions, and creative services—to craft tailored, multi-channel advertising solutions that align with clients’ strategic marketing objectives. This hybrid role (residing in one of our Phoenix/Tucson locations) also offers the flexibility to work remotely part of the week.
Compensation: Base salary of $90,100.00 - $150,100.00 (variable based on location and candidate’s experience). Additional incentive compensation may be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients in-person and virtually to understand their business goals and translate these into clear, actionable KPIs.
- Lead brainstorming sessions with internal partners to develop advertising proposals using the full Cox Media product portfolio, including digital channels such as streaming video, online video, display, paid social, and paid search.
- Present strategic recommendations and proposals to clients alongside Sales Consultants, ensuring the narrative clearly integrates client KPIs with the proposed marketing solution.
- Design and support the implementation of approved campaigns by coordinating with fulfillment teams and acting as the key point of contact for digital strategy execution.
- Analyze campaign results and leverage insights to drive client success, improve ROI, and identify future revenue opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 6 years’ experience in digital marketing (or equivalent combinations such as a master’s with 4 years’ experience; or Ph.D. with 1 year; or 10 years’ experience).
- Proven ability to think strategically and translate client advertising goals into effective, measurable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in digital media advertising and the ability to clearly articulate complex digital concepts to clients.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Must reside within the assigned Cox market and adhere to hybrid work policies (reports to the office as required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or strong academic background in a related field.
- Experience with Demand Side Platforms, Streaming Platforms, Google Ads, DV360, YouTube, Amazon DSP, and Paid Social Media environments.
- Strong analytical skills including proficiency with Google Analytics (Universal Analytics and GA4), pixel strategy development, conversion tracking, and attribution.
- Certifications in digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint) are a plus.
