We are looking for a Transformation Manager, National Assurance to join the Attest Operations team. They’re responsible for translating assurance strategy and priorities into well‑defined, executable initiatives that improve how we deliver assurance services at scale. This role sits partners closely with assurance leadership, Resource Management (RM), Quality, Learning and Development, IT, HR, and regional leaders to drive service‑wide initiatives from concept through sustained adoption.
This role is a strategy and program execution role designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can influence across a complex professional services environment, and can bring strong project management discipline. The ideal candidate combines structured program management skills with a deep appreciation for how assurance work gets done—balancing quality, people experience, and client delivery.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to
Strategic Initiative Execution
- Translate national assurance priorities into clear, actionable initiatives with defined objectives, milestones, success metrics, and ownership.
- Serve as the primary driver to ensure initiatives move from design to execution to sustained adoption—not just concept or pilot.
- Lead multiple concurrent initiatives that balance near‑term impact with long‑term scalability.
Program & Project Management
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Establish governance structures, reporting, and cadence to keep initiatives on track.
- Ensure consistent use of project management and change management best practices across initiatives.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks, issues, and trade‑offs, as well as recommend course corrections to assurance leadership.
Change Management & Adoption
- Design and execute change management strategies to drive adoption at the engagement, regional, and service line levels.
- Identify stakeholder impacts and resistance points early, as well as adjust approach accordingly.
- Partner with leaders to reinforce expectations, behaviour, and accountability.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor outcomes post‑implementation and recommend refinements.
- Define and track success metrics for each initiative (ex. experience, efficiency, quality, predictability).
- Capture lessons and implement them into future assurance initiatives.
Examples of Initiatives this Role May Execute
- The re-design of assurance scheduling, RM, or deployment models.
- The implementation of new assurance technology or data tools.
- The standardization of planning, budgeting, or engagement management practices.
- The quality or inspection‑readiness initiatives that require behaviour change at scale.
- The integration of firm‑wide strategy initiatives—specifically within assurance.
- Role clarity, career progression, or capacity optimization initiatives.
The ideal candidate must
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, management, or related field.
- Have 8–12+ years of experience executing complex initiatives or programs in public accounting, professional services, large, matrixed organizations, or consulting.
- Possess strong project management capabilities, including but not limited to workplan development, milestone tracking, and/or executive‑level reporting.
- Have demonstrated experience executing cross‑functional initiatives without direct authority.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Have experience within assurance/audit or a deep understanding of audit delivery models. (preferred).
- Have experience driving change management or transformation initiatives. (preferred).
- Possess a PMP, agile, or similar project management certification (preferred).
- Possess a CPA and/or prior public accounting experience (preferred).
