Job Summary

As a Google Analytics Marketing Technology & Data Consultant, you will represent and support the deployment of Caterpillar’s world-class Google Marketing Platform (GMP) suite focusing on Google Analytics. You will act as the digital product management link between our business partners, dealers and site owners and our Google Analytics Engineering team, ensuring that the Cat Rental Store website and mobile app and related customer-facing platforms are optimized to drive enterprise growth.

Your role is to translate business and marketing objectives from multiple business units, industry groups and dealers into business and technical requirements that meet partner expectations, align to the Enterprise measurement and tracking strategy and most importantly deliver business value.

What You Will Do

Strategic Consultation & Requirement Gathering

  • Business-to-Technical Requirements Translation: Consult with business partners to align GMP capabilities with their specific marketing and business objectives.
  • Create Epics, Features, and Support Cases from requirements for GMP engineering teams.

Deployment & Integration Oversight

  • Lifecycle Coordination: Manage the end-to-end deployment process for the Google Analytics Suite, ensuring seamless integration points between digital products, data owners, and analytics teams.
  • Ad & Pixel Integration: Facilitate the integration of ad pixels and third-party tags, ensuring marketing data flows accurately from customer-facing sites and apps to reporting dashboards.

Project Management & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Workflow Management: Create and maintain intake processes with business partners and manage handoffs to architecture, engineering, and development teams.
  • Accountability & Auditing: Monitor deliverables for deadlines and completeness, performing audits and escalating risks to the GMP Product Owner .
  • Communication & Training: Conduct meetings and lead training sessions to ensure dealers and partners are empowered to use data-driven insights.

Innovation & Problem Solving

  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes to uncover improvements, developing and implementing governance solutions that ensure data quality.
  • Future-Focus: Drive efforts related to future-focused improvement in the Google Analytics space and building a roadmap.

What You Will Have

Digital Marketing: Knowledge of processes, techniques, and platforms of digital marketing; ability to implement or manage digital marketing programs.

Considerations For Top Candidates

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • GA4 Google Analytics certification preferred, with basic familiarity in GA4 reporting and a willingness to develop deeper expertise.
  • Foundational understanding of the Google Marketing Platform (GMP) and interest in learning data validation skills.
  • Exposure to Salesforce Sales or Marketing Cloud, Hightouch (Reverse ETL), or tag management tools is beneficial.
  • Comfort working with data and learning analytics and data management tools such as GCP BigQuery, Hightouch, Tableua/Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Ability to analyze business needs and help translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Experience with Agile project tools (Azure DevOps or similar).
  • Interest in supporting digital transformation initiatives and learning change‑management fundamentals.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an organized, detail‑oriented approach to documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating in team environments, including groups and with cross‑functional work.
  • Curious with the ability to stay adaptable, ask questions, and contribute to problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar’s organizational structure, processes, or brand standards is helpful but not required.

Summary Pay Range

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
