After 12 years in business, we're searching for a digital marketing manager to help explode our reach and impact. August is woman-owned and encourages people from all walks of life to join our team.

Position Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager at August Uncommon will lead organic and owned marketing channels. This will involve working with founders to build content strategy, publishing calendar, and media production. The goal is to build an ever-growing audience for the brand, which we can then convert into customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with founders to develop and refine content strategy
  • Create and maintain annual marketing calendar
  • Manage all brand organic channels: Meta, Email, SMS, Youtube, Manychat, TikTok, Faire, Direct Mail
  • Liaise with Amazon agency to develop channel specific content
  • Manage content production, editing, and scheduling of all channels under management
  • Bring new ideas and technical expertise to continually improve results

Experience

  • Proven experience in digital marketing management or similar roles with a strong understanding digital marketing metrics
  • Hands-on experience with content creation: Strategy, Scripting, Production, Capturing footage, Editing, and Delivery
  • Strong understanding of the features of successful organic social media content (hooks, narrative structure, tam, etc)
  • Ability to hire, direct, and manage contractors to build out production team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data insights into actionable strategies for engagement and growth
  • DTC / E-commerce experience required
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration

Expectations

  • Ship 2x emails per week, 1 sms per week
  • Post 2-3+ posts per week on all social channels
  • Ship quarterly direct mail campaigns
  • Research and report on tea-related content trends for media inspiration, as well as direct social media interactions with followers.
  • Work with footage and photography produced by founders for editing and publishing to multiple channels.
  • Manage editing, subtitles, captioning, thumbnails, and posting for all video content on all channels
  • Report weekly on content engagement and use data to guide strategy
  • Recruit and manage freelance labor for any production tasks that can't be directly executed by the candidate.

Pay: $55, $67,060.20 per year
