Job Duties
- Develop and implement the company’s overall marketing and business development strategy, with a focus on expanding client base in financial planning, tax advisory, and wealth management services.
- Establish long-term growth plans to enhance the company’s market presence and strengthen its brand within the financial services industry in British Columbia.
- Oversee all marketing and client acquisition activities, including digital outreach, referral network development, and relationship-based marketing initiatives, while leading and supervising the marketing team.
- Work closely with other senior managers to align marketing strategies with client needs and service offerings, and support organizational planning and cross-functional coordination.
- Analyze market trends, client demographics, and competitive positioning to identify new business opportunities and improve service delivery.
- Approve marketing budgets, allocate resources, and monitor performance metrics to ensure effective and sustainable business growth.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and referral sources to support ongoing business expansion.
- Represent the company in business development initiatives, community engagement, and industry-related activities.
- Ensure that marketing and promotional activities comply with applicable regulations and professional standards in the financial services industry.
- Contribute to the company’s overall strategic direction by providing insights on market expansion, client segmentation, and revenue growth, and supporting internal process improvement and operational effectiveness.
- Build and mentor a high-performing marketing organization by recruiting, selecting, and developing middle management to support scalable growth.
Qualifications
- A university degree in business administration, finance, commerce, or a related field
- Over five years of experience in the financial services industry, including experience in client relationship management or corporate banking
- At least two years of experience in senior management role.
- Experience working with business clients and providing financial services
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
