Save Oceanside Sand (SOS) seeks a Digital Engagement & Web Manager to manage the organization’s digital platforms and help build community awareness and engagement around beach restoration and coastal resilience.

This role ensures that SOS’s website, social media channels, and digital outreach tools consistently communicate the organization’s mission, promote advocacy initiatives, and mobilize community support.

The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and comfortable managing multiple digital platforms while supporting a mission-driven advocacy organization.

  • *Responsibilities**

Website Management

  • Maintain and update the SOS website with current content, project updates, and announcements.
  • Ensure website functionality, performance, and security.
  • Post news articles, project updates, event information, and advocacy actions.
  • Coordinate website updates with communications campaigns and organizational priorities.
  • Maintain website navigation and user experience to ensure easy access to information.

Digital Content Management

  • Publish and update digital content provided by the Communications Manager or leadership.
  • Format articles, reports, and updates for online publication.
  • Maintain a library of digital media assets (photos, graphics, videos).

Social Media Management

  • Manage SOS social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Create and schedule regular posts highlighting:
  • Beach restoration progress
  • Coastal resilience issues
  • Community engagement opportunities
  • Organizational updates
  • Monitor comments and messages and coordinate responses with leadership when needed.

Community Engagement Support

  • Promote community events, meetings, and volunteer opportunities online.
  • Support digital advocacy campaigns and calls to action.
  • Encourage community participation through digital channels.

Analytics and Performance Tracking

  • Track website traffic and social media engagement metrics.
  • Provide periodic reports on digital engagement performance.
  • Recommend improvements to increase audience reach and engagement.

Technical Coordination

  • Manage website hosting, domain management, and platform updates.
  • Coordinate with external web developers when needed.
  • Ensure website integrates smoothly with email marketing platforms and online donation tools.
  • *Qualifications**
  • Experience managing websites (WordPress or similar platforms preferred)
  • Experience managing social media platforms for organizations or campaigns
  • Familiarity with digital content publishing and online communications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple digital tasks
  • *Preferred:**
  • Experience working with nonprofit or advocacy organizations
  • Familiarity with digital marketing or audience engagement strategies

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
