We’re hiring a Marketing Assistant to help execute and scale these efforts — managing multiple projects and consistently delivering high-quality marketing across campaigns, email and lead nurture, web content, visual assets, podcast publishing, and content planning.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for a strong writer and communicator. You will take approved strategy and content and turn it into consistent, high-quality marketing output across channels, audiences, and programs — ensuring marketing gets done on time, on brand, and with attention to detail.

A key part of this role is capturing and communicating the A3 experience — highlighting athlete progress, client wins, and impact — and turning that into content and communication that drives engagement, while supporting lead follow-up and client interaction.

This role requires strong organization, follow-through, and pride in producing high-quality work. The right candidate executes consistently while managing multiple projects and moving parts, and genuinely enjoys a team environment and helping people — including responding to leads and highlighting athlete and client wins.

You’ll connect the dots across campaigns, communication, and athlete storytelling, ensuring marketing is organized, effective, and aligned across all channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Execution & Content Distribution

  • Take approved marketing content and ensure it is distributed across all relevant platforms
  • Schedule and publish posts across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Google Business, etc.) using tools such as Metricool or similar scheduling software
  • Ensure posts are correctly formatted and cross-posted across all platforms
  • Maintain the marketing and content calendar to ensure campaigns, events, and promotions launch on time
  • Create and update basic marketing assets (flyers, graphics, social posts) using tools such as Canva, based on approved designs and direction
  • Coordinate with the Media Team to distribute photo and video content once produced
  • Assist with updating website pages, blogs, and landing pages as directed

Content Repurposing & Writing Support

  • Draft captions, emails, blog posts, and short-form content based on approved messaging
  • Draft emails and texts to leads and clients based on approved messaging (promotions, events, program launches)
  • Repurpose existing content such as podcasts, transcripts, and videos into written assets including blogs, captions, and newsletters
  • Prepare podcast show notes and publish episodes across platforms
  • Draft and format newsletters (including ADAPT program updates) based on approved messaging and content
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across communications

Email & Communication Campaigns

  • Send approved emails and texts to leads and clients with accuracy across segmented lists and audiences
  • Execute campaigns that drive engagement, bookings, and program enrollment (events, camps, promotions, launches)
  • Assist with email list organization and tagging to ensure communications reach the correct audiences
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining automated email workflows

Lead Engagement & Social Communication

  • Monitor and respond to inbound inquiries on Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms
  • Ensure leads receive fast, helpful responses and are guided to the appropriate next step (booking, consultation, or program inquiry)
  • Escalate sales conversations or complex inquiries to the Sales leader
  • Maintain a professional and responsive brand voice in all interactions

Athlete & Client Highlight Content

  • Identify and support opportunities to highlight and celebrate A3 athletes, clients, and community wins
  • Draft and publish athlete spotlights, PR updates, testimonials, and milestone content across platforms
  • Collaborate with coaches and staff to capture meaningful stories, progress, and achievements
  • Support ongoing storytelling that reinforces A3’s culture, values, and client success

Analytics & Marketing Support

  • Track key marketing metrics such as email performance, social engagement, and campaign results
  • Assist leadership in identifying what content and campaigns perform best
  • Maintain organized records of marketing activities and campaigns

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the CEO, Sales Team, Client Success Team, and Media Team to support marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate marketing timelines to ensure campaigns launch smoothly
  • Communicate clearly and proactively to ensure nothing falls through the cracks

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong writing skills — able to craft clear, engaging, brand-aligned marketing communication that connects with the intended audience and drives action (not generic or AI-dependent)
  • 1–3 years of marketing, communications, or content execution experience (or strong portfolio)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and proactive follow-through
  • Able to manage multiple projects at once and maintain quality and organization in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing, and basic SEO — with a strong curiosity to learn what drives performance.
  • Comfortable using tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and Google Drive and quick to learn new systems
  • Results-focused mindset — understands marketing is about driving action, not just posting content

Additional Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree or certifications in marketing, communications, or related field preferred)
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs occasionally, and work at a computer for extended periods

Additional Details

  • Part-time estimated to be 20–35 hours/week
  • On-site in Bakersfield, CA
