Our client, a US subsidiary of an overseas digital retail business, seeks a Financial Controller to oversee all accounting operations and serve as a strategic financial advisor to senior leadership. This role blends hands‑on financial management with high‑level business partnering, supporting the US CEO and executive team on performance, planning, and strategic initiatives. The business is based in Peabody, MA.

Description

Reporting into the Group CFO based overseas, the Financial Controller will lead a growing accounting team and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting for the U.S. business. In addition to operational oversight, this role will act as a key advisor to the business and leadership teams, providing insights, modeling, and analysis that shape decisions across budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning. The position reports directly to the Group CFO and partners closely with teams in both the U.S. and UK. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

This employer offers a HYBRID work schedule, 3 days/ week in-office, 2 days/ week REMOTE.

Profile

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA (ideal but not essential)
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years managing multi-function accounting teams (AR, AP, inventory, cash flow, job costing, inventory accounting, royalty accounting, variance analysis).
  • Strong command of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and mentor teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with senior executives and cross‑functional partners.
  • Proficiency in Excel and modern accounting systems.

Job Offer

  • $ 145,000 to $ 150,000 base salary
