General Manager, E-commerce & Brand — Stella & Dot

Lead the next chapter of Stella & Dot.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, with regular in-person work at our Burlingame store and office

Type: Full-time

An established brand. Renewed momentum. Your opportunity to lead.

Stella & Dot is again on a strong growth trajectory, and we’re looking for an entrepreneurial leader to help accelerate what comes next.

This is an opportunity to take a recognizable jewelry and accessories brand—with products customers love—and build its next chapter in e-commerce. Bring your creative ideas, commercial instincts, and ambition. You’ll have meaningful ownership of the business and the opportunity to share in the upside you help create.

As General Manager, E-commerce & Brand, you’ll own the P&L, drive profitable online growth, and oversee all day-to-day operations. You’ll lead employees, specialists, and agencies across e-commerce, social, paid media, email, and influencer marketing, while overseeing business administration, fulfillment, and our small Burlingame retail location.

Our founder remains involved at a high level, particularly in product design and brand direction. You’ll lead the business day to day.

The opportunity

You may already run an e-commerce business. Or you may be a standout e-commerce, growth, or digital merchandising leader ready for your first full-business leadership role.

You don’t need to have held a General Manager title. You do need a record of driving online growth, strong commercial judgment, and the initiative to turn opportunities into results.

You’ll set the direction, build the plan, and lead the resources delivering it. You are not expected to personally execute every marketing channel.

What you’ll own

E-commerce growth and marketing

  • Build and lead an integrated plan for profitable growth across acquisition, conversion, retention, and repeat purchase.
  • Manage employees, specialists, and agencies across Shopify, paid media, email, social, and influencer marketing.
  • Set clear priorities, budgets, briefs, and performance expectations.
  • Turn product launches, seasonal moments, and customer insights into compelling campaigns.
  • Develop fresh ideas for creator partnerships, customer engagement, and sales growth.
  • Use results to decide what to scale, improve, or stop.

Brand experience and fashion merchandising

  • Bring a strong eye for product, styling, assortment, and presentation.
  • Translate the founder’s product and brand direction into commercial plans and engaging customer experiences.
  • Guide online merchandising, product storytelling, and launch calendars.
  • Identify opportunities to highlight best sellers, improve product discovery, and increase sell-through.
  • Connect creative decisions to customer behavior, inventory availability, and margins.

P&L and business leadership

  • Own revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Build budgets, forecasts, and a clear operating plan.
  • Allocate resources thoughtfully across marketing, people, inventory, and technology.
  • Establish a focused weekly rhythm for reviewing performance, making decisions, and tracking execution.
  • Keep the founder informed through concise updates and recommendations on major strategic decisions.

Day-to-day operations

  • Oversee business administration, vendor relationships, and service providers.
  • Coordinate accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting with the appropriate support.
  • Lead the local team responsible for our small retail location and e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Ensure reliable staffing, customer service, inventory accuracy, and timely shipping.
  • Keep daily operations running smoothly while maintaining e-commerce as the primary growth focus.

AI-enabled efficiency and team development

  • Make AI a practical part of how the business plans, analyzes, creates
