Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (on-site, with regular store travel across the UAE and periodic travel to Qatar)

About the role

Marketing exists to sell toys, and we want someone who knows that. A Liusie General Trading operates the Early Learning Centre (ELC) and The Entertainer across the UAE and Qatar. We're looking for a Retail Marketing Manager to own marketing for the whole estate.

This is a hands-on retail marketing role, not an agency-management role. You'll spend as much time in stores and with mall teams as at your desk. You'll set the marketing calendar and make sure every promotion is planned, stocked and executed properly on the shop floor. You'll also build our presence in the malls and communities we trade in.

What you'll do

• Own point-of-sale material across the estate, from design and production to distribution.
• Build a commercial window plan for every store, a season ahead and tied to the promotional calendar.
• Build and run the annual marketing calendar for the UAE and Qatar, planned at least one month ahead.
• Plan around key regional moments: Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, back to school, UAE and Qatar National Days, Dubai Shopping Festival and Christmas.
• Run a pipeline of pop-up shops and in-mall events, and manage launch plans for new stores, relocations and refits.
• Build strong relationships with mall marketing teams and find partnership opportunities with schools, nurseries, family attractions and complementary brands.
• Brief store teams clearly, in plain English, on every campaign.
• Protect and grow the ELC and The Entertainer brands, applying the UK brand guidelines correctly and keeping all material culturally appropriate and family-friendly.
• Manage the marketing budget, report return on spend monthly, and review the results of every major campaign.
• Lead and develop the Retail Marketing Executive, and work daily with Buying, Merchandise Planning, Operations and Store teams.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years' B2C marketing experience, including a minimum of 2 years in multi-site retail.
• Proven experience running a promotional calendar and delivering in-store campaigns, including POS and windows.
• Experience managing a marketing budget and reporting spend and return.
• Experience working with mall management or landlords on events and activations.
• Strong project management skills, able to run several campaigns at once to fixed dates.
• Confidence working with buyers, planners and operations teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write clear, simple briefs for a multilingual team.
• Working knowledge of the UAE retail market, its trading periods and its promotion and permit rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• A UAE driving license, or willingness to obtain one.

Nice to have

• Toy, children's or family retail experience.
• Experience marketing a franchised or international brand under a partner's guidelines.
• Pop-up or temporary retail experience.
• Arabic language skills.
• Experience of the Qatar market.
• A CIM or equivalent marketing qualification.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

Working pattern

48-hour week across six days, reduced hours during Ramadan in line with UAE Labor Law. Evening and weekend work is expected at peak trading periods, events and store openings, with time off in lieu by agreement.
