We are looking for a highly organized, hands-on Marketplace Manager to own the day-to-day operations and performance of the CarParts.com Marketplace.
This person will serve as the central point of coordination between marketplace sellers and internal teams, ensuring sellers are successfully onboarded, products and offers are live and accurate, operational issues are resolved quickly, and the marketplace delivers a seamless experience for both customers and sellers.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally strong, and comfortable working across multiple teams in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
Marketplace Operations

  • Monitor marketplace activity to ensure sellers, products, offers, inventory, pricing, and fulfillment are operating as expected.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues impacting sellers or customers.
  • Monitor marketplace performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer and seller experience.
  • Establish and maintain operational processes, playbooks, and best practices as the marketplace scales.
Seller Management & Onboarding
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for marketplace sellers after they are signed.
  • Partner with the Seller Acquisition Manager to ensure a smooth transition from signed agreement to seller onboarding.
  • Coordinate seller onboarding and ensure sellers complete all required steps to become operational.
  • Help sellers navigate marketplace requirements, processes, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor seller performance and address issues related to fulfillment, cancellations, product availability, customer experience, and other marketplace standards.
  • Build strong relationships with sellers and act as their internal advocate when issues require cross-functional support.
Catalog & Offer Management
  • Work closely with Merchandising, Technology, and sellers to ensure product data and offers are accurate and successfully published.
  • Monitor product and offer quality, including pricing, inventory availability, fitment, and catalog data.
  • Identify catalog or data issues that prevent products from going live or negatively impact the customer experience.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and sellers to resolve data and catalog issues.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as the central operational connector between sellers and internal teams, including Technology, Merchandising, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
  • Coordinate the resolution of marketplace issues that require multiple teams.
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and operational updates to marketplace leadership.
  • Participate in marketplace projects, testing, process improvements, and new feature launches.
Performance & Analytics
  • Monitor marketplace KPIs and seller performance.
  • Track metrics including seller activation, live offers, GMV, conversion, cancellations, fulfillment performance, customer contacts, returns, and seller quality.
  • Identify trends and root causes behind performance issues.
  • Develop recommendations and action plans to improve marketplace growth and operational performance.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to marketplace leadership.
What Success Looks Like
  • Sellers move efficiently from signed agreement to active marketplace partners.
  • Products and offers are successfully published and maintained.
  • Marketplace operational issues are identified and resolved quickly.
  • Sellers meet established service, fulfillment, and customer experience standards.
  • Customers have a seamless experience regardless of whether a product is fulfilled by CarParts.com or a marketplace seller.
  • Marketplace KPIs improve consistently as the business scales.
  • Strong operational processes are built to support rapid marketplace growth.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in marketplace operations, e-commerce operations, account management, seller management, category management, or a related field.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with an e-commerce marketplace.
  • Experience with automotive aftermarket products, or automotive catalog data.
  • Familiarity with marketplace seller onboarding, catalog management, fulfillment, and seller performance management.
