Marketing Manager
American College of PhysiciansThe Marketing and Communications division of the American College of Physicians (ACP) is seeking candidates for the role of Marketing Manager. ACP, a national organization of internal medicine physicians with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with more than 163,000 members worldwide. This is a hybrid position with 2 days per week in the Philadelphia office required.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously—from strategic campaign development and customer/member journeys to marketing technology, analytics, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives. Primary responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning & Execution – Develop multi-channel marketing strategies, plans, and budgets that drive lead generation, customer/member acquisition, revenue growth, and brand awareness.
- Campaign & Lifecycle Management – Lead integrated campaigns and customer/member journeys across digital, email, CRM, web, social, and traditional channels.
- Team Leadership & Project Management – Recruit, develop, coach, and manage marketing staff; oversee vendors, budgets, and multiple projects to deliver high-quality results aligned with organizational goals.
- Analytics & Market Intelligence – Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and needs; monitor campaign performance and use data to optimize results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-divisional teams to align marketing initiatives with organizational priorities, improve operational efficiency, and communicate strategies, progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive marketing management experience required; healthcare, association, or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing revenue-generating, multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns across digital, email, CRM, SEO/SEM, social media, and traditional marketing channels.
- Proven ability to effectively manage staff, budgets, vendors, and complex cross-functional marketing initiatives from concept through execution.
- Knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, analytics, digital advertising, and AI-enabled marketing tools.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills, including copywriting and presentation experience.
