Junior Email Marketing Automation Specialist with Large Media Company - Junior Level Role

12 Month Assignment

Must be Local to San Diego - Hybrid onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, possibly some occasional Thursdays

Pay Range: $26-$31/hr W2

Must have skills: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, understanding website development (HTML), email campaigns, strong communication skills

Nice to have: scripting with Python

Assist in developing email campaigns, analyze campaign performance, and understand data

Overview: Under the direction of our marketing strategy lead, the Marketing Ops Technologist will support different product categories by integrating strategy and creativity into engaging and functional customer-facing assets. The role primarily involves transforming creative documentation into adaptable, mobile-friendly digital assets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on campaign goals and expectations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop and deploy marketing campaigns including email, CRM, and SMS

Monitor deployed communications

QA digital assets for responsiveness, mobile-friendliness, trackability, and functionality

Use scripting to provide dynamic data to communications

Support operational efficiency through process and documentation improvements

Drive requirements for the implementation and integration of marketing automation platforms

Support special projects as assigned

Requirements and Preferred Skills

1-2 years of experience in campaign marketing environment

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, computer science, or related field (preferred)

Experience with B2B and B2C marketing

Deep understanding of translating marketing requirements within large customer databases, email marketing experience required

Proficiency in HTML/CSS

Scripting abilities: JavaScript, C#, Python

Proven troubleshooting skills

Strong analytical skills

Experience with MarTech platforms, Data Platforms, and enterprise marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Salesforce Certification a plus)

Additional desirable skills include

Advanced AMPScript

Testing and optimization methodologies

Project management skills

Adaptability and quick learning

SQL and relational database knowledge

Server-Side JavaScript experience

Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Estimated Rate Range: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
