SUMMARY
Q2 is looking for a senior level individual contributor to join our Transformation Management office, partnering with business leaders to identify, shape, and scale strategically important initiatives. Representative examples of such initiatives could include, among others: (i) the translation of Q2’s internal AI strategy to drive and measure internal efficiency gains across the enterprise; (ii) the modernization and enhancement of existing systems and processes to execute Q2’s broader data strategy; and/or (iii) the integration of acquired companies as part of Q2’s M&A strategy. This role leads structured discovery efforts to uncover process and operating model improvement opportunities, translates findings into clear business cases to build stakeholder support, and remains engaged through adoption and measurement to ensure sustained business impact. This position partners closely with senior executives across Q2, spanning Engineering, Support, Service Delivery, Product, Sales & Success, People and Business Operations, supporting key decision-makers by framing complex problems and developing initiatives to ensure enterprise priorities translate into measurable outcomes that create value for all stakeholders. This position blends strategic problem-solving, hands-on execution, and strong business acumen. The role will be based in Austin, Texas, with up to 10% travel to support stakeholder engagement and execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end discovery and “deep dive” engagements within assigned business functions to understand processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Influence senior leaders without formal authority while operating effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information
- Identify, size, and prioritize efficiency opportunities, including both process-only and technology-enabled solutions.
- Develop clear value theses and decision materials that define problems, options, tradeoffs, risks, and expected outcomes for executive review.
- Translate discovery outputs into governance-ready proposals aligned to enterprise standards, controls, and decision frameworks.
- Collaborate with program and project managers to support rollout, change management, and enablement for strategic initiatives.
- Establish and maintain measurement approaches that track realized benefits against defined baselines and business KPIs.
- Remain engaged post-launch to help ensure solutions are adopted, monitored, and sustained over time.
- Partner closely with senior leaders to deliver executive communications and support broader stakeholder management.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- 15- years of relevant professional experience in management consulting or industry roles with similar responsibilities, such as transformation offices, strategy, business operations, or operational excellence roles, or 12 plus years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Strong preference for relevant professional experience in enterprise software, SaaS, fintech, or similar corporate environments.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem framing through execution.
- Proven comfort operating in ambiguity and translating complex analysis into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead structured discovery, including workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs, in complex organizations.
- Strong capability in developing business cases by defining measurable outcomes, KPIs, and benefits-realization frameworks tied to business results.
- Extensive experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment without formal authority.
- Significant experience supporting adoption and change execution, not just upfront analysis or strategy.
- Sound business judgment and an enterprise-wide mindset when identifying risks, dependencies, and escalation needs.
