Digital Advertising & Marketing Lead — Paid Ads & Creative Strategy

Location: On-site in Massachusetts or Hybrid

Reports to: Founder / CEO

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Sales & Marketing Lead who can own our paid acquisition efforts while driving creative strategy and retention marketing. You’ll live in the data — tweaking campaigns, building audiences, and scaling what works — but you’ll also help shape the look, feel, and voice of the brand.

If you’ve managed $500K+ annual ad budgets, love testing new ideas, and can move fluidly between analytics and creative, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Be Doing

Paid Acquisition (Primary Focus)

  • Run and optimize campaigns across Google Ads (PMAX, Shopping, Search).
  • Expand into Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bing, and other high-ROI channels.
  • Build audiences using buyer personas, intent signals, and demographics.
  • Manage and scale large monthly budgets with ROAS and CAC targets in mind.

Creative Strategy

  • Work with designers, photographers, and editors to produce platform-specific ads.
  • Test and rotate creative based on performance and seasonality.

Customer Targeting & Retention

  • Refine and target our core segments:
  • Small business owners
  • Corporate buyers & nonprofits
  • Event planners
  • Western boutiques & gift shops
  • Find new segments
  • Manage Klaviyo flows (abandoned cart, post-purchase, VIP) and seasonal campaigns.

Other Growth Opportunities

  • Experiment with influencer partnerships, podcasts, and trade print ads.
  • Collaborate with the founder on seasonal promotions, free gift campaigns, and upsell strategies.
  • Suggest and test improvements to landing pages and product pages to increase conversions.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 4–6+ years in DTC/eCommerce marketing, heavy focus on Google Ads.
  • Proven experience managing $500K+ annual ad spend.
  • Proficiency in Meta & LinkedIn Ads and cross-channel growth.
  • Ability to brief, manage, or create photo/video ad content.
  • Strong grasp of GA4, Shopify or BigCommerce, Klaviyo, and basic CRO principles.
  • Strong AI Competency

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with influencer marketing, podcast ads, or print media.
  • Light design/video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut).
  • Portfolio of ads, landing pages, or email campaigns.
  • Familiarity with tools like Zapier, or Hotjar.
