Executive Director for Canadian Market Operations

eBay seeks a seasoned executive to oversee the company's operations in Canada. As Executive Director for Canadian Market Operations, you will be responsible for driving strategic outcomes that benefit buyers, sellers, and eBay teams within the Canadian market.

This role demands a dynamic leader with comprehensive knowledge of marketplace operations and the ability to navigate complex business environments independently. You will establish trust among Canadian consumers and sellers by fostering competitiveness and authenticity on our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive local market strategy, performance, and operations to align with global objectives
  • Develop and execute a robust market strategy ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all business aspects
  • Establish eBay as a trusted marketplace in Canada by promoting trust and competitiveness among consumers and sellers
  • Represent eBay in external meetings and foster cross-functional ownership and support
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment that reflects eBay's values and supports team growth

Requirements

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a business including P&L oversight, operations, marketing, and strategic planning
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian e-commerce market dynamics and experience/understanding of marketplace operations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to innovate and drive change in a highly matrixed and visible role
  • Business acumen prioritizing overall business strategy
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Location: Toronto, Canada (Relocation may be required/offered if not already based in Toronto)
