Position Overview

Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Fractional Marketing Director (Hourly | Part-Time) – Remote, U.S. Based.

This role is a fractional, contract (1099) engagement with a time commitment of 20–40 hours per month. Location: Remote (U.S.-based only) and Schedule: Flexible, recurring monthly engagement.

We are a growing home services and contracting company building a strong digital-first brand and lead generation engine. With an established virtual marketing team handling SEO, PPC, social media, and creative execution, we need a senior marketing leader to provide strategic direction, tighten systems, refine campaigns, and elevate team performance. This position is focused on leadership and strategic optimization—not day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

Review and refine the overall digital marketing strategy, ensuring alignment between SEO, PPC, paid social, and organic efforts, and translate business goals into clear marketing KPIs and roadmaps.
Oversee Google Ads strategy—including search, local services, retargeting—and provide guidance on keyword strategy, budget allocation, and conversion tracking, as well as support Facebook/Instagram lead generation initiatives.
Guide the SEO strategy with a focus on local SEO, content development, authority building, and ensure it complements the paid search efforts.
Lead and mentor an existing remote marketing team by identifying skill gaps, improving SOPs, and enhancing reporting, accountability, and communication.
Define and implement clear reporting dashboards to track leads, CPL, CAC, and ROI while establishing feedback loops between marketing, sales, and operations.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a CMO, Marketing Director, or Senior Digital Marketing Leader.
Strong command of Google Ads (non-negotiable) along with a solid understanding of SEO, paid social, and lead generation funnels.
Experience leading or overseeing remote or virtual marketing teams.
Ability to simplify complexity and focus teams on initiatives that drive performance and ROI.
Experience working with contracting, home services, trades, or local services businesses is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with small to mid-sized service businesses ($1M–$10M+ range).
Comfortable stepping into imperfect systems and improving them.
Strategic thinker who is both practical and ROI-driven.
Excellent communicator with leadership and execution teams, understanding local lead generation and competitive market dynamics.
