Role and Responsibilities of Strategic Ecommerce Account Manager:
You will act as a trusted advisor and lead growth initiatives for Walmart's most critical marketplace accounts. You will work closely with sellers, internal stakeholders, and senior leaders to optimize performance, develop strategies, and enhance customer experiences.
- Manage strategic accounts, serving as a consultant accountable for driving business growth and operational improvements across a portfolio of sellers.
- Oversee business performance by leading annual and quarterly planning, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions to improve GMV and contribution profit.
- Build strong relationships with partners, acting as the account "quarterback" to address issues and implement growth initiatives using a "one team" approach.
- Optimize offer quality by guiding sellers on PDP content, ratings and reviews, shipping speed, and pricing to maximize search optimization and discoverability.
- Drive adoption of seller services, including Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) and Walmart Connect, teaching sellers to maximize platform success.
- Develop strategic marketing plans, including promotions, events, and site placements, to increase traffic and GMV.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Strategy, Operations, Site, and Marketing to deliver best-in-class seller and customer experiences.
- Work autonomously with limited manager oversight, managing the above responsibilities effectively.
Required Skills and Experience of Strategic Ecommerce Account Manager:
- 3 years of experience in e-commerce.
- 3 years of experience working with sellers, suppliers, or vendors.
- 3 years of experience in merchandising or category management.
- 3 years of experience in Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, Marketplace, or a related area, OR a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a bias for action and collaborative team approach.
- Excellent communication skills, including delivering presentations to peers, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Digital literacy and analytics skills with strong business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area. E-commerce experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, including prioritization, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
