Social Media Manager
Glitterville StudiosGlitterville Studios is looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager to shape and execute our social media strategy. You’ll turn our products, characters, creative process, and events into compelling content that builds community and brings customers to Glitterville.com. This role combines content planning, writing, photography and video production, community engagement, and performance analysis. You’ll work closely with our Knoxville team and coordinate with colleagues and partners in other locations.
Occasional evening or weekend work is required to capture events such as Papa Noel Day and Master Craft classes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and day-to-day execution of Glitterville’s social media channels, with goals of growing our audience, strengthening engagement, and supporting sales on Glitterville.com.
- Plan and manage a content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest. Develop and launch a strategy for TikTok, adapting content and posting frequency to each platform.
- Create, write, edit, and publish content that reflects Glitterville’s distinctive voice and visual style. Ensure copy is accurate, polished, and aligned with current products and promotions.
- Capture and edit photography and video featuring Glitterville products, the Knoxville studio and retail store, creative work in progress, and special events.
- Coordinate social content that supports product launches, seasonal campaigns, and retail partners carrying Glitterville products.
- Engage with followers and fans to build community, and route customer service questions to the appropriate team members.
- Track performance against defined goals and share concise weekly updates and monthly reports with insights, recommendations, and new content ideas.
- Stay current on social trends, platform changes, and relevant brands to identify opportunities that fit Glitterville.
- Recommend budgets for social campaigns, affiliate marketing, and collaborations, and manage approved initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience managing or producing social media content for a brand, with examples of work you’ve created and results you’ve helped achieve.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with close attention to detail and an ability to capture a distinctive brand voice.
- Experience shooting and editing engaging social content, particularly short-form video. Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Edits, or similar software.
- A strong understanding of social platforms, content planning, community engagement, and performance measurement.
- Excellent organization and judgment, including the ability to manage a content calendar while adjusting to changing business priorities.
- Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite. Familiarity with a publishing platform such as Sprout is a plus.
- A collaborative, self-directed approach to working with both in-person and remote colleagues.
- Experience in home décor or design is preferred; enthusiasm for the category is essential.
