Paid Media/Digital Ads Associate [REMOTE] at Top 100 Digital Marketing Agency

StratDev Digital Marketing

StratDev Digital Marketing is looking for a dynamic and qualified individual to join our in-house team at our full-stack digital marketing agency as a Paid Media/Digital Ads Associate. This is a very versatile role that will include a lot of different tasks across a variety of projects, including both internal and client initiatives. The position is full time (40 hours a week), and is entirely remote. Your schedule will be 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, Pacific (Los Angeles) Time (PST), with a 1-hour break to be taken at your preferred time during the day. You will be reporting directly to the Paid Media Team. Compensation for this role is $1,500 USD each month, paid every month.

This role requires a technically strong, detail-oriented paid media professional with hands-on experience across platforms like Meta, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads, particularly in account setup, access troubleshooting, conversion tracking, and reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, process-driven, and comfortable owning the technical foundations of paid media - ensuring clean setups, accurate conversions, and reliable data before campaigns go live. You should be proactive, organized, and confident working across multiple accounts, with the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to both internal team members and clients.

While this role is deeply hands-on and technical, it is not the primary day-to-day owner of paid media strategy or campaign scaling decisions. You will support senior paid media strategists by executing setups, validating data, preparing campaigns, and surfacing insights and recommendations, while final strategy, launches, and scaling decisions remain with the Paid Media lead.

As a startup agency, this role has a direct and meaningful impact on our ability to scale effectively, making precision, accountability, and a high standard of execution essential.

Paid Media Associate Responsibilities also include:

  • Support paid media onboarding by troubleshooting ad account access, permissions, billing issues, and platform verification across Meta, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
  • Set up, configure, and verify conversion tracking (pixels, tags, events, analytics integrations), ensuring accuracy before campaigns go live
  • Build and organize campaigns based on strategist specifications, preparing drafts or near-launch-ready setups for review
  • Quality-check dashboards, conversion data, and reporting outputs prior to client delivery
  • Provide clear, client-facing insights that explain performance trends, attribution, and data integrity
  • Monitor accounts for anomalies or inefficiencies and surface recommendations or red flags as needed
  • Maintain strong organization across accounts, including naming conventions, asset structure, and documentation
  • Assist with onboarding project management by tracking required access, assets, and information to remove blockers
  • Communicate setup status, access needs, and reporting updates with internal teams and, when appropriate, clients (sometimes independently and sometimes with oversight, depending on context)
  • Document tracking decisions, configurations, and processes to ensure work is repeatable and scalable
  • Ensure that clean setup, accurate tracking, and reliable data are treated as non-negotiable foundations for all paid media efforts.
  • Paid Media Associate Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with paid media platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads), with a focus on setup, tracking, and reporting infrastructure
  • Proven ability to gain and troubleshoot access to existing ad accounts, including Business Managers, permissions, billing, and disabled assets
  • Strong understanding of conversion strategy and tracking, including primary vs. secondary conversions, micro vs. macro events, and appropriate tracking methods (pixel, GA4, CAPI, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and connect platform metrics to business outcomes
  • High attention to detail, especially around conversion accuracy, campaign configuration, and data integrity
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and tracking logic to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts while maintaining organization and consistency
  • Proficiency with tools such as ClickUp, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Slack, and Google Workspace
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills, including clear documentation and client-facing insights
  • Ability to work independently, follow specifications, and proactively solve problems
  • Organized, accountable, and collaborative with a positive, ownership-driven mindset
