Role Overview
We are seeking a data-driven Technical SEO Specialist to bridge the gap between traditional search excellence and the new era of AI-integrated search.
You will be responsible for the "under the hood" health of our clients' web properties, ensuring they are well-optimized, crawlable, performant, and architecturally sound.
The ideal candidate has survived the fast-paced environment of an agency and views AI tools not as a threat, but as a force multiplier for technical audits and content scaling.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Auditing
Conduct deep-dive technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, JetOctopus, GSC and GA to identify site performance issues (indexing, rendering, and site architecture), managing content workflows, and collaborating with the dev team.
Proactively identify opportunities and translate business strategy into tactical SEO requirements and implementation plans.
AI & LLM Optimization
Monitor and optimize for AI-driven search experiences (like Google's AI Overviews and Perplexity), ensuring brand visibility in synthesized results.
Core Web Vitals & Performance
Partner with developers to improve LCP, INP, and CLS; you don't need to write the code, but you must be able to diagnose the bottleneck.
Structured Data Strategy
Implement and troubleshoot advanced Schema markup (JSON-LD) to enhance SERP real estate.
Algorithm Adaptation
Stay ahead of evolving Google algorithms and SEO best practices, while contributing to GEO/AEO opportunities to shift strategies proactively rather than reactively.
Data Analysis
Use BigQuery, Looker Studio, or Excel to connect SEO efforts to actual business revenue. Skills using ScreamingFrog, JetOctopus (or cloud crawl providers such as Lumar, Botify) for crawling sites required.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of professional non-internship marketing experience in a dedicated SEO role, preferably within an agency managing multiple high-stakes accounts.
Experience in healthcare or multi-location businesses is a plus. Experience with E-E-A-T (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) strategies in medical content.
The Technical Stack
Leverage deep expertise in technical SEO concepts including, site siloing, internal linking, error handling, XML sitemaps, structured data, HTML, PageSpeed, metadata, redirects, mobile optimization and other applicable elements.
Proficiency using enterprise SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush, JetOctopus, Google Analytics and similar platforms.
AI Fluency
Hands-on experience using AI systems for data clustering, log file analysis and automating redundant SEO tasks.
Coding Literacy
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and how JavaScript frameworks impact SEO.
Reporting
Comfort with APIs or automation tools for SEO monitoring and reporting.
Agency Soft Skills
Track record of taking SEO initiatives from concept to completion with measurable results.
The ability to translate "technical jargon" into "client value" during monthly reporting calls and experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
