About the Role
We’re looking for a Director, Lifecycle Marketing to lead Fresh Prep’s retention and revenue growth strategy across the full customer lifecycle.
This is a leadership role responsible for driving customer retention, engagement, referrals, and revenue expansion. Reporting to the VP, Growth, you will lead the Lifecycle team and play a central role in shaping how we build long-term customer value.
You will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, strengthening our CRM programs, innovating our tools and capabilities, and ensuring lifecycle marketing is a core driver of profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle Strategy, Retention & Revenue Growth
- Own and evolve Fresh Prep’s end-to-end lifecycle and retention strategy, spanning onboarding, engagement, churn prevention, order expansion, winback, and referral
- Set the long-term vision for how lifecycle marketing drives LTV, contribution margin, and sustainable revenue growth
- Establish clear retention, frequency, AOV, and reactivation targets aligned with overall company growth and profitability goals
- Lead the strategic design and continuous evolution of programs that increase customer lifetime value, ensuring measurable impact on retention, frequency, and revenue
- Own and evolve Fresh Prep’s referral strategy to drive high-quality customer acquisition and advocacy
- Leverage behavioural, transactional, and cohort analysis to inform strategy, prioritize investment, and drive measurable impact across the lifecycle
Referrals & Advocacy
- Own and evolve Fresh Prep’s referral program to maximize participation and conversion
- Test incentive structures, messaging, and placement across the customer journey
- Identify opportunities to turn high-value customers into brand advocates
CRM Innovation & Capability Building
- Lead the evolution of Fresh Prep’s CRM tools, automation, segmentation, and personalization capabilities
- Identify gaps in lifecycle tech stack and drive improvements in collaboration with Product and Engineering
- Develop experimentation frameworks across email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging
- Elevate reporting, attribution, and measurement of lifecycle impact
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop the Lifecycle Marketing team
- Establish clear KPIs, accountability, and prioritization frameworks
- Partner closely with Product, Growth, Analytics, Brand, and Operations to ensure alignment across the customer journey
- Bring a strong customer lens to company-wide initiatives
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle, or retention marketing, ideally in subscription, e-commerce, DTC, or consumer tech
- Proven experience leading retention and revenue-driving lifecycle programs
- Strong understanding of LTV, contribution margin, and churn dynamics
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Deep experience with CRM tools, segmentation, automation, and personalization strategies
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
- Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and shaping strategy
What You Can Expect
- An annual base salary of $140,000 to $150,000
- Hybrid work arrangement with the opportunity to work from either our East Vancouver HQ or Saint-Laurent, QC facility.
