Build the next stage of an established ecommerce business
JEG Online Ventures is the company behind ElectricSolenoidValves.com and Atlantic Valves. We sell solenoid valves, motorized ball valves, and related flow-control products to engineers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, maintenance teams, and purchasing professionals nationwide.
Our customers use our products in water treatment systems, manufacturing equipment, agricultural applications, and other systems that need dependable flow control. Helping them find the right component—and making it easy to buy again—is central to our growth.
We’re an established, founder-led business with real customers, years of search and purchasing data, a growing product catalog, and outside marketing and development specialists already supporting us.
We’re looking for someone to bring those pieces together, set the priorities, and turn opportunities into measurable results.
The role
You’ll lead our ecommerce and digital marketing function, working directly with our GM and having regular access to the founder.
You’ll own the growth roadmap: what we should improve, what we should test, what should wait, and how we’ll measure progress. Our priorities include improving the online buying experience, strengthening acquisition and retention, and developing more business with OEMs and other repeat commercial customers.
This is a hands-on role. You should be comfortable digging into performance, reviewing customer journeys, investigating problems, and moving work forward yourself. You’ll also lead agencies, developers, and specialists who support execution. We expect strong judgment across channels, with deeper expertise in your strongest areas.
You’ll have room to challenge assumptions and recommend changes to our approach, tools, and partners. We want your judgment—and we expect you to follow through.
What you’ll own
- Ecommerce performance and customer experience. Prioritize improvements to navigation, search, filtering, product pages, merchandising, and checkout. Help technical buyers select the right product with confidence. Coordinate development, testing, and launch measurement.
- SEO and paid acquisition. Guide organic growth and manage paid-search performance with our specialists. Protect existing search equity during site changes, improve landing pages and product feeds, and evaluate results using revenue, acquisition cost, and profitability.
- Lifecycle marketing and retention. Strengthen segmentation, automated flows, campaigns, and reorder programs in Klaviyo. Make communications more useful to customers and grow repeat purchasing.
- B2B demand generation and CRM. Improve how we attract, capture, nurture, and follow up with qualified commercial and OEM opportunities. Use HubSpot to make lead ownership and performance visible.
- Agency and specialist management. Set clear briefs, priorities, deadlines, and performance expectations. Review the quality of work, address missed commitments, and recommend different support when needed.
- Measurement and product launches. Maintain a practical growth scorecard, turn data into decisions, and coordinate marketing support for new products and categories.
You won’t be expected to move every initiative at once. An important part of the job is choosing the work that will have the greatest impact and getting it completed.
What success looks like
In your first 30–45 days, you’ll assess performance, meet our partners, identify the biggest opportunities and risks, and establish a prioritized roadmap with clear owners and measures of success.
Over your first 90 days, you’ll begin delivering improvements, establish a useful reporting cadence, and agree on realistic growth targets with the GM.
As the role develops, we should see a better buying experience, stronger acquisition economics, more repeat business, and a measurable flow of qualified B2B opportunities. Leadership should be able to see what’s progressing, what’s blocked, and where a decision is needed.
What you bring
- Seven or more years of relevant ecommerce or digital marketing experience, including meaningful ownership of business results.
- Experience leading multiple channels or a broad growth function.
- Strong judgment in ecommerce conversion, customer experience, and product merchandising.
- Enough technical SEO knowledge to guide specialists and recognize risks involving redirects, indexation, site structure, and migrations.
- Experience evaluating paid search and lifecycle marketing using business outcomes.
- Comfort with GA4, Search Console, CRM reporting, and imperfect data.
- A record of managing agencies, developers, or freelancers and getting work delivered.
- The ability to set priorities, communicate clearly, and push back constructively.
Experience in industrial products, B2B distribution, manufacturing, automation, plumbing/HVAC, or another technical market is especially valuable. We’re also open to someone from an adjacent industry who can demonstrate an understanding of specification-driven buying.
BigCommerce, Klaviyo, and HubSpot experience are helpful.
Why join us?
- Work close to the decision-makers. You’ll work directly with the GM and have access to ownership.
- Build on an established business. There are customers, data, products, tools, and specialists to work with from day one.
- See the impact of your decisions. Your work will directly influence purchasing, retention, and business growth.
- Help shape how we operate. Bring better ideas, build useful processes, and take responsibility for results.
- Join a practical team. We value teamwork, curiosity, ownership, reliability, and a can-do attitude.
If you enjoy understanding how a business works, finding its best growth opportunities, and getting the right people moving in the same direction, we’d like to hear from you.
