Digital Marketing Associate, Simon & Schuster Canada
Simon & Schuster**Responsibilities**
- Assist with planning and executing all digital marketing initiatives including newsletters, influencer marketing, digital advertising (video/podcast/search/display/paid social), website and content marketing.
- Tracks and analyzes ad performance and results, providing insights and recommendations for improved KPIs.
- Manage select social media channels, including planning and posting content, writing copy, creating images and videos, engaging with followers, maximizing reach and growing audience. Collaborate with marketing team to ensure brand consistency.
- Assist with developing and executing strategic social media marketing tactics, and paid and organic social media initiatives, tracking performance and optimizing approach to drive improved results.
- Assist with website management, including keeping homepage up to date with banners and new titles. Plans and executes seasonal and topical content to improve SEO and drive sales.
- Compiles social media insights and measures social media content performance using various internal and third-party tools, including Sprout Social and Google Analytics.
- Successfully build and monitor relationships with our influencer database, ensuring we build strong connections and create champions for our brand and authors.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed, supporting the company’s strategic goals and editorial vision.
- *Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in a publishing environment.
- Impeccable time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovate ideas and solutions to marketing challenges.
- Passion for and understanding of the ever-changing landscape of social media. Must be proficient on all platforms, be familiar with social media management and listening tools, and be willing to be in front of the camera.
- Experience planning and executing digital advertising including Meta, Google, Amazon (advertising and store building), Pinterest, TikTok, Spotify, Goodreads, etc.
- Proficiency with video, audio and photo editing tools. Must understand digital media formats and have working knowledge of HTML.
- Familiarity with website CMS.
- Ability to understand historical, current and future trends in the digital content and social media space.
- Strong copywriting, copy editing, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- And of course, a passion for books!
