WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

This role is for a highly technical ecommerce operator who can fully own client store operations from onboarding to final handoff — without supervision.

  • This is NOT a beginner role.
  • This is NOT a general assistant role.
  • This is NOT a customer service position.
  • We are hiring a systems-minded executor who solves problems, prevents future ones, and takes ownership of platform operations.

CORE MISSION

  • Own client ecommerce operations end-to-end.
  • If something breaks — you fix it.
  • If something is inefficient — you optimize it.
  • If something can be systemized — you build the process.
  • You ensure clients launch smoothly, trust the process, and experience zero operational friction.
  • Empower clients with clear, step-by-step solutions that enable them to take ownership of their Shopify platform and prevent repeat problems.

PLATFORM EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)

You must have hands-on backend experience managing an ecommerce platform such as:

  • Shopify (preferred)
  • WooCommerce
  • BigCommerce
  • Magento
  • or a comparable ecommerce system

Experience with multiple platforms is a strong advantage.

NON-NEGOTIABLE TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

You must be comfortable handling platform configurations including:

  • product setup + variants
  • navigation / menu logic
  • shipping rules + rates
  • checkout testing
  • app or plugin troubleshooting
  • integrations
  • diagnosing errors
  • store QA before launch

If you cannot confidently troubleshoot platform issues independently, this role is not a fit.

WHAT YOU WILL OWNClient Onboarding

  • Leading kickoff calls
  • Guiding clients through setup
  • Collecting assets efficiently
  • Maintaining client confidence throughout launch

Store Operations

  • Reviewing builds for issues
  • Fixing configuration errors
  • Ensuring launch readiness
  • Troubleshooting platform problems

Delegation + Coordination

  • Assigning tasks to internal teams
  • Managing timelines
  • Ensuring deliverables are completed correctly

Quality Control

  • Reviewing updates
  • Testing storefront logic
  • Preventing launch failures

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (STRONG ASSETS)

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be prioritized:

  • ecommerce strategy or store optimization
  • conversion-focused copywriting
  • email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.)
  • client-facing roles
  • structured onboarding processes
  • building SOPs or operational systems
