E-Commerce Manager

Role Overview
The E-Commerce Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, appearance, and optimization of GLDN's online storefront. This individual will play a key role in increasing conversion rates, maximizing revenue per visit, and minimizing bounce rates by executing data-informed strategies across search, merchandising, and content.

What you’ll do..
Site Performance & Optimization
Continuously monitor and analyze site KPIs, including:
- Conversion Rate
- Revenue per Visit
- Bounce Rate
- AOV
- Checkout Abandonment Funnel
Search & Merchandising Optimization
- Improve internal search and filtering systems to increase discoverability and relevance of products.
- Strategically curate and update collections, product placements, and sort logic to reflect seasonal trends, customer demand, and inventory priorities.
- Monitor top search terms: Make sure key terms return relevant results. Inform product team with trend insights
- Prioritize product placement based on data and business initiatives
- Refine filters & sorting: So shoppers can find what they want fast — e.g., by metal, symbol, personalization, price.
- Spot dead ends: Fix “no results” issues with redirects or suggestions
Visual Merchandising
- Own the visual merchandising calendar for the homepage and key landing pages.
- Collaborate with design, brand, and dev teams to implement visual updates and improve page layouts, CTAs, and site navigation.
Product Content & Listings
- Oversee the creation, enrichment, and ongoing optimization of product listings—including titles, descriptions, images, and attributes.
- Ensure all product pages are aligned with GLDN’s tone, aesthetic, and SEO best practices.
- Build and maintain collections (seasonal, best-sellers, etc)
- Manage product tags & filters
- Coordinate with product team (to get assets on time), flag missing info or inconsistencies
- Test listings on mobile & desktop
Site Health & Maintenance
- Monitor page speed & mobile UX: Fix friction fast.
- Respond to feedback on listing errors, etc
- Maintain the "personalizer" functionality
- QA product listings: Accurate pricing, stock status, personalization options.
- Manage back-in-stock notifications
- Coordinate with our Dev team to address any issues
Personalization
- Segment shoppers: Serve different messages to first-time vs repeat visitors.
- Deploy quizzes or style finders: Help shoppers pick pieces they’ll love (and increase conversion).
Cross-sell and upsell optimizations
- Implement dynamic product recommendations: Use “Complete the Look,” “You May Also Like,” or “Styling Ideas” to increase units per order.
- Cross-sell & upsell modules: E.g., “Add a birthstone charm” or “Pair with matching earrings.”
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with digital marketing, creative, and development teams to execute campaigns and new feature rollouts.
- Act as the primary liaison for web development requests related to e-commerce functionality and improvements
Our ideal candidate will have..
- 3–5 years experience managing a DTC e-commerce site, preferably on Shopify or similar platforms.
- A proven track record of driving e-commerce performance metrics.
- A strong understanding of SEO, web analytics (Google Analytics, GA4), and conversion optimization principles.
- Experience with product information management and merchandising systems.
- Design sensibility and comfort working with visual tools and content management systems.
- Excellent project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working with retail brands in the fashion, accessory or beauty industries.
- Graphic design experience is a big plus!
