Training at $18.00/hr. Possible advances between $18.50-$20.00/hr following successful first review.

Our farm produces healthy food for individuals at farmers markets, grocery stores, and the best restaurants throughout Northern and Central Florida. This position helps the farm by improving and maintaining our existing online store, utilizing Local Food Marketplace software to support the farm’s sales, and completing fulfillment, shipping, and billing activities for individuals, CSA Members, and commercial customers. This position will also help develop a stand alone web store for our value added and meat products in order to help us reach a much wider market. We are looking to leverage our current success on FB, Instagram, and YouTube to to launch this next endeavor of shipping our shelf stable products nation-wide. The best candidate for this job utilizes skills in e-commerce, sales, customer service, inventory management, website maintenance and social media to ensure our crops and products get to the tables where they are needed.

The first day on-site for any position will be a work/trade, short-day, with the goals of food safety training, orientation, cleaning/organizing, and introduction to our system. We will compensate with an abundant box of produce, eggs, meat, and/or value added items for this first work/trade day. If the applicant chooses to proceed with training, the next 10 business days of work for this position will be paid at $18.00/hr training rate.

Following this 10 day period, we will have our first review, where we will place the applicant between $18.00-$20.00/hr, depending on skill and proficiency. Each 6 months the applicant can then request a review and advancement in both responsibilities and wages.

Job Duties

Inventory & On-Farm Logistics

  • Physical inventory of value added, freezer and apparel with google sheet updated
  • Maintaining inventory online, customer communication & order pricing deals
  • Assist with on-site inventory management
  • Helping keep office orderly and clean

Maintain Web-Based Storefront using Local Food Marketplace

  • Maintain uniform product descriptions, photos, units, and pricing on online store
  • Add or update new items as needed to the online store
  • Keep online storefront visually appealing
  • Update product photos and descriptions as needed to maintain accuracy and customer appeal
  • Update product order and inventory including for partner growers, value added and frozen
  • Sort and advertise specials, post weekly order reminders and promotions on social media
  • Update settings for accurate, user-friendly information for customers
  • Coordinate online fundraising for community non-profits through the online store
  • Update LFM homepage weekly and frogsongorganics.com website regularly, social media content creation.

Shipping and Outbound Logistics

  • Use shipping software to execute orders from our Online Stores
  • Onboard and train new hires to our system and our standards
  • Respond to any delivery issues real-time for customers
  • Create plans and responses in case of hurricanes, holidays or other disruptions
  • Evaluate shipping costs and revenue on a quarterly basis, follow up with shipping companies on any issues or opportunities to improve customer service/experience.
  • Create loadlist

Customer Service

  • Answer the phone and help with customer inquiries such as account set up, update credit card, place a hold on delivery and general info.
  • Placing and updating orders in our LFM and other sales system in the future
  • Print packing slips, labels, order checklists
  • Go through new customers weekly to ensure they are set up with the correct pricing level, sub period and delivery location
  • Create wholesale, distributor, and consignment locations invoices through LFM for any orders placed via text or email
  • No orders are received only by a call. Any order communicated over a call will be followed up with by email or text message.
  • Assist with Customer Service tasks and CSA Program when needed
  • Participate in on-farm special events two to four times per year, may include evenings or weekends
  • Review old customer accounts and unused credits.

Requirements

  • At least two years of customer service experience.
  • Proven E-Commerce success:
  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of an html based website.
  • E-commerce sales greater than $100,000 annually.
  • Experience in the produce industry is a plus, and/or a love of vegetables and local food.

● Friendly, professional phone and in-person communication.

● Ability to quickly learn new software (Local Food Marketplace, Mailchimp, future E-commerce systems)

● Proficient at Google sheets and Excel spreadsheets including formulas, pivot table

● Able to touch type 45 wpm or faster

● Proficient at website content management.

● Job offers are contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.

● Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.

● Ability to be present at work consistently, on time, to start each day.

● Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

● Self-motivated, ability to work both with and without direct supervision

● Ability to work well as part of a team, communicate effectively and professionally with all staff and customers: in person, on the phone, and in writing

● Ability to walk uneven ground, lift up to 50 lbs and work in walk-in cooler and freezers for inventory, able to go up and down stairs, work with team in packing shed in all types of weather

● Ability to represent the business in a professional and positive manner

● Interest in making a positive impact in your community and to learn about regenerative and organic food systems

● Ability to new computer systems and skills quickly

● Willingness to work in a non-traditional, rustic office environment and use portapotties. Every day is casual Friday!

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in the produce industry or restaurant industry is a plus
  • Love of cooking and local food
  • Experience in sustainable or organic agriculture
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Undergraduate degree in Agriculture Business or related field is a plus
